The SJ is probably to keep subs from wanting a second Hopper for more tuners. The SJ is cheaper to produce than the Hopper so Dish benefits from that. Of course when the Hopper goes tits up, you lose all 5 tuners. Having a second Hopper is obviously better for the sub. It remains to be seen what the cost differential will be to the sub, if any. It may end up being the case that Dish will no longer lease a second Hopper, instead requiring purchase. Next year's second and additional Hopper fee may jump to $20. 
With only two tuners, SuperJoey could connect to the LNB, any DPP switch or the node, but only the node connection would allow Hopper integration.
Well, you better wait at least a year as the rest of the Dish customer field "beta" tests it.
Just kidding, mostly. The HWS is still getting bugs worked out/introduced into it.
It's the "introduced into it" part of it that is so frustrating.
That'd probably follow along with Dish precedence... though I'd prefer free myself. If it was free, I'd probably jump onto a single Hopper system, though I'd loss one of my local tvs on SD.
Especially if from any of the three spots you could see all the tuners and timers, without having to specifically link.
Noticed the following at the end of the official press release:
The way that is worded, it doesn't appear a SuperJoey release is imminent, and makes you think it could be well into the year. Guess we can go ahead tag it "soon", huh?
This is the reason I would want the super joey. I'd place it in the guest room and enjoy the 2 extra tuners for both of my HWS. I was hoping to read integration of tuners between two HWS but guess that's not going to happen.
I didn't go back all 30 pages in this thread so can someone update me on something?
Does anyone have the wiring diagram of the HWS and a SuperJoey please?
Also, would a HWS and a Superjoey be cheaper than going with two HWS? I figure since you do this only to extend to more than 4 rooms now for full live tv access on all of them and/or the extended hard drive but if its cheaper to go this route most will and still give you a butt load of tuners.

None of these details have been released yet. Basically all we know is that Dish will have a Super Joey with 2 tuners, a wireless Joey and a Virtual Joey. They basically just built up some hype for now.
I'm assuming the same thing. At least this press conference gave us all something new and exciting to talk about here, I was getting tired of the same old threads. Now we have new things to speculate about.
I mean a diplexer to mix the MOCA from the Hopper and the DPP from a DPP44 or directly from a dish..
