DISH Reaches Long Term Agreement with DISNEY / ESPN / ABC

Continuing in that article:

"In addition, DISH, ESPN and ESPN Deportes subscribers will get access to the live and video-on-demand channel ESPN3, and DISH will launch ESPNEWS, ESPNU, Disney Channel and ABC Family in high definition. ESPN Classic will be reintroduced as a video-on-demand channel."

Does that mean ESPN Classic will no longer be on channel 143 as a regular channel?

While sports is a lighting rod for discussion, for the provider that supposedly has no sports, not bad :)

A not quite expected outcome. I had speculated that Dish may pay Disney to skip commercials, but now it looks like they just agreed to delay autohop from next day to 3 days. Also interesting in the Hollywood Reporter article that it could change as the rating vehicles change. Does that mean that if Live+7 become reality for commercials that Autohop will go to 7 days?

If you want autohop, better save all the episodes until the end of the season and binge watch...

One thing I didn't see mentioned in that article,ESPN Gameplan. It's been sd only,I would hope it gets HD as well.

Not exactly sure what this quote means.

At the same time, we are creating opportunities to add new subscribers and introducing the value of a multichannel subscription to a small subset of broadband-only consumers.”

Now that the HD will be back on the Disney channels, I wonder if they will be reintroduced into Dish America/Silver/Gold. At some point, I think they were in some of those packages, but were dropped when only SD was available.
