If I ever get an audit call I'll tell them there more then welcome to come for an onsite inspection. If they refuse and shut down my account.

1- Cancel Service
2- Call Amex and charge back
3- Call the attorney generals office
4- Call all the news station reporters that do the been ripped of segments.
5- Fill a small claims court suit against dish for my hardware costs.
6- Call directv pay a little bit more money get an ok DVR but better Picture Quality.

Dish is just plain stupid for these audit's.

Anyone remember Clark Howard canceled and blasted dish after he failed the audit because he was too slow.

AG would do nothing as you have agreed to it, same goes for your small claims court filing. The new reporters... Well you would have to spin it just right to them. Most(even the consumer watch ones) will not give a damn TBH, once they realize that you refused to do anything on your side. As far as the AMEX chargeback, that's only if you win the dispute, and even if you do, dish will send it to collections.
This all stems from every dish network customer agrees to terms that they must be able to satisfy dish if they beleive their may be stacking. It is left to the customer, who agreed to the stipulation freely, to satisfy them.

Or 7- Beat your head against the wall and skip 2-6 for same result with less time and effort.

It's not harassment. It's business. And you agreed to it. You signed your signature saying that you accept those conditions. The conditions that dish feels is necessary to protect their business.

For all the people who say they won't put up with it, and will take it to court, just one thing. You do have the option of not having dish. A luxury service. You can go to DTV, you can go OtA, but the AG and the courts will find that with you knowing this is an option before you enter a relationship with Dish, again a luxury service, that your case is invalid.

Have you ever been to court?

No. Because I read my contracts and understand them fully first. I don't play the victim, when in reality, I am the aggressor.

I sometimes wonder if cable is a better value. I am paying 66$ a month for Internet. (Comcast) DSL is unacceptable. Dish bill 144$. Never checked, but wonder if combining the two would be cheaper. You have no 2 year contracts, but I like Dish's technology. Haven't had cable in years. Don't know if I would regret the move back to cable. I'm between a rock and a hard place when my contract expires this Spring.

As I posted earlier, I just get fed up with the cost of all this. I probably watch only a dozen channels on my 250 channel plan. They put the desirable channels in the higher tiers.

I also mentioned dumping it all and use my antenna and Netflix. There was a few negative comments about Netflix, but my son and Grandkids love it. Then there is the fear if Comcast gets mad at Netflix, throttling will start again. I also heard rumors of shutting down Over The Air TV. Oh well, done ranting. I get like this every once in a while.

I'm not usually one to give cheats to beat the system but in your case it may be legit. I would recommend possibly going the cable route, try it for 60 days, and then if you miss dish, come back after the 60 day mark as a former customer with all the benefits. Two birds one stone, and you may be able to maximize your value and programming. The other cool part to that is you may be able to use a referal coupon when you come back for even more savings.

Netflix has already reached an agreement with Comcast (as well as AT&T) and the demise of OTA is BS.

Glad I haven't experienced this, but ask I have is one Hooper and two Joeys. I wounder if anyone has experienced this from DirecTV or any of the Cable Copanies?

Glad you asked that, because it brings up a point. Unless it is the same physical building there is little to no chance to stack Cable. Satellite however is ripe for that illegal activity. I don't have an answer for DirectTV, I do know they are vigilant for stealing their signal with illegal equipment.
