The Walking Dead on AMC

A 'Huge Change' Is Coming To 'The Walking Dead' http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/...dead_n_6314948.html?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592
Warning: "The Walking Dead" spoilers everywhere. In a preview for the final episodes for Season 5 of "The Walking Dead," the cast and producers are dropping hints about what to expect. Showrunner Scott Gimple said the second half of the season will have "a huge change for the situation of these characters." Andrew Lincoln later added, "It feels that we're moving into a new show."Whether it was getting to Terminus or surviving The Governor's attacks, the characters in the show have always had a central motivation, but with Washington, D.C. revealed to be a bust and everyone moving on from the events at Grady Memorial Hospital, the future of the survivors is really up in the air.Co-executive producer Denise Huth said the second half of the season is "dark" and "sad," while Lauren Cohan said Maggie will be dealing with a "dark side" of her own (which actually sounds like good news for "Star Wars" fans waiting on "The Force Awakens"). In any case, it appears Norman Reedus was genuine with his warning to HuffPost Entertainment to "grab your tissues. "The Walking Dead" returns February 2015 to AMC.

What happens in the comics doesn't mean squat for the TV show. Yes, some stuff is the same but some isn't, so any sort of "this is going to happen because it did in the comics" is stupid.
Negan & Lucille are too iconic to not be brought into the show as is.
As for who gets the raw end of them, that can be easily changed (ala Dale into Bob).

Though reading the comics does spoil things. Like with the "professor". Anyone who read the comics knew he was going to be exposed as a fraud. Just not this early, as it seems the show's producers don't want to transition out of Georgia into Alexandria.

‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Teaser Trailer: ‘Surviving Together is All That Matters’ (Video) https://tv.yahoo.com/news/walking-dead-season-5-teaser-trailer-surviving-together-020834908.html
[SPOILER ALERT]AMC has released a new teaser trailer for “The Walking Dead” season 5B.The trailer features Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his rag-tag group fighting their way through a foggy forest, with Rick reminding them all via voiceover that “surviving together is all that matters.” We see Michonne (Danai Gurira) draw her trademark samurai sword in preparation for a fight, along with Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glen (Steven Yeun), and Daryl (Norman Reedus) laying down some serious firepower. At the conclusion of the Nov. 30 midseason finale, Rick and the others were at a crossroads. With Eugene revealing that he lied about knowing how to cure the zombie disease, the group finds itself without a home or a purpose. Now they must traverse the open wilderness, living day to day and fighting for their very survival.Fans of the series will also recall that Rick’s former ally, Morgan (Lennie James), has been getting closer and closer to finding his group. A post-credit scene in the midseason finale featured Morgan arriving at the church just after Rick and the others had departed. Though it seemed unlikely their paths would cross, Morgan finds a map bearing Rick’s name, hinting that he may finally catch up to them in the second half of the season.“The Walking Dead” premieres Sunday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m.

Watch the gruesome new trailer for The Walking Dead’s fifth season https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/watch-gruesome-trailer-walking-dead-fifth-season-231505683.html The Walking Dead has never been my cup of tea, but from what I’ve been hearing, the latest season has given the show new life (pun definitely intended). When we last left our colorful cast of characters, they had begun killing each other off at a frightening pace, and based on the new trailer, the killing isn’t going to slow down in the second half of the season. There are only eight more episodes left in the fifth season, but in case that’s not enough to tide you over, the show has been picked up for a sixth season and AMC is also currently producing a spin-off series set within the same universe.Tentatively titled “Fear the Walking Dead,” the show will be set in Los Angeles and will feature a new cast experiencing the same apocalypse as Rick Grimes and company. It will begin airing this year, but a release date has not yet been announced. The fifth season of The Walking Dead will return to AMC on February 8th at 9 p.m. EST.Watch the full trailer below: Trailer: Another Day: The Walking Dead: Season 5...Don't forget to tune in to the return of The Walking Dead, Sun., Feb. 8th at 9/8c.

'Walking Dead' Star Josh McDermitt Confirms One Big Spoiler http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/...rgan_n_6504566.html?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592
Warning: "Walking Dead" Spoilers! There Is No Sanctuary! So, the "Walking Dead" midseason finale happened, and whoa: The episode shocked fans, despite the fact that it was accidentally spoiled for those on the West Coast. As far as what's happening next, showrunner Scott Gimple has teased that there's a "huge change" coming for the characters now that they don't really have a clear objective, like escaping from the Governor or saving Beth. Oh, jeez, Beth ...

What a creepy episode...
...flashbacks of ghosts past (with a tie going to The Governor and the two little girls for being the creepiest), Tyreese has his arm bitten by a walker only to have it whacked-off (and not in a good way) by Rick and the gang...possibilities of Tyreese surviving to be the new Merle/Hershel amputee...only to have him become chummy with the two creepy dead girls and take a dirt nap a short while later. We're thinning the herd.
...but a very good one nonetheless.

He was hallucinating. They showed the radios both obviously turned off while he heard the broadcasts. The reason why, I don't know. Perhaps he was remembering/misremembering what happened at the beginning of the outbreak conflated with things he actually saw. It was all a study in psychology.

The broadcasts were describing large groups of "bad guys" that the "Republic's" military was trying to get under control. It said they were rampaging areas, killing people with machetes, and so on. Remember the lower-halves of bodies that Michone found outside that neighborhood ? Then, in the back of that pickup truck where they left their Suburban, it was full of the top halves. My wife and I both caught that link.

We took it as more recent events. The timeline is at least two years since the outbreak, so those bodies would be decomposed long ago.

I didn't realize that TWD had returned until I saw the episode summary on Yahoo. The radio broadcasts that Tyrese was hallucinating about was most likely the broadcasts that he listened to with his father when he was young,& no doubt was about Rwanda,Liberia,Sierra Leone,& other African nations that went to hell during the 90's. The bodies that they found that were cut in half, with the upper bodies put into that truck were no doubt the work of a certain bad guy, mentioned in the comics with his beloved weapon, that people, who don't read the comics,do not want mentioned because it will spoil it for them. Is this the first hint of [?]?

Now that Tyreese is dead and buried (although I never did see a knife being driven into his skull prior to being tossed into his grave) I wonder which characters is next to be disposed of. Me? I say that new kids will be gone within 2-3 show.
