I actually see a difference with the C61 compared to the C41 that I was using. Maybe it was just a bad C41 but the picture on the C61 is back on par with the HR44 being hooked up directly.

Now the only issue is that the C61 detects that I have a 4k TV but it won't display the channel that the content is supposed to be on. Really not a big deal yet as its pretty much PPV from what I have heard but it would be nice to watch one to see the PQ that this box will display.

The issue is that the Directv CSR didn't authorize the C61. She was nice enough to remove the other one but for some reason didn't think that she needed to do anything with the other. Right at midnight the box went offline saying that I only had 2 clients active on the account and I needed to delete it from the Genie. Called in and had to have a CSR actually add it to my account this time like she should have done the first time. After it was added back, I am now able to see the 4K logo in the menu for the programming. Downloaded a couple of the 2min test programs to see what the PQ is like with them.

How is the PQ on the 4K compared to HD?
 
PQ is very good but I would expect that as I think the content was download via the internet right now.

well, that makes sense. Without adding a 4K "sku" to your account, it wont authorize any 4K content.
 
All 4K content is PUSHED via satellite. Internet is not involved at all

I wouldn't be to sure of that. I just started a download of a 4K program and my internet connection started to show the download.

My connection was doing nothing prior to the start of the 4K program download.

I am positive.

Old thread but I concur. As of now, all 4k is sent via satellite, the only internet that is involved is if the 4k tv is RVU, the only two manufacturers that can do RVU 4k are Samsung and LG and both of those need internet to setup, so in turn, the clients would need internet just to work, but 4k is unaffected. IF you had a Genie and a C61 on an account with no internet, you can still get the 4k vod.
