Does anyone have a Harmony Elite (or other Hub-based Harmony) with a Hopper 3? Using the Power On -> Delay -> Power Toggle as Power Off has gotten the power off (really standby) feature to work, but I can't seem to get Recall to work.

Works fine on my 40.0 remote on the Hopper 3, but using it on my Harmony Elite doesn't seem to do anything. It's using IP control rather than IR which may have something to do with it.

I don't see why it shouldn't, the Elite does use IP but only to the Harmony Hub. On the hub there are plugs for 2 IR blasters that come with the Elite. Make sure you have at least one plugged in and pointed at the H3 or placed in front of the IR receiver on the H3.

Yes. I have the Harmony Ultimate. I just use the Power Toggle setting, and it works just fine. My Recall has always worked. Did it work before you got the H3?

Yeah, it worked fine on my HWS (also controlled over IP). Thinking it may just be a Carbon UI issue or maybe just a H3 bug.

The Elite will do IP control to the H3 (I have to pair it to the Hopper, and it shows up under the Mobile Devices). I may try switching it over to IR and seeing if that helps at all. I believe it will also control the Joeys over IP as well, so may try connecting it to my Joey and see if it exhibits the same behavior.

If it works for IR, please report it back here, I'm sure there are others with Elites that would be interested. I just keep the venerable Harmony One (I have a brand new one in a box for a backup in case I can't get another, one day one of the dogs thought one of my Harmony Ones looked like his bone!) and use it.

Just tried it in IR mode, and the Recall button works as expected. Also tried via the Dish anywhere app and it worked fine there as well.

Seems to be a Logitech issue (maybe the wrong command for the Hopper 3), or maybe an issue with how the Hopper interprets IP commands from the Harmony hub.

Check this link out. HTH.

The IR works but I wanted to control it via IP using the "connect to harmony by wifi" setting. On my hopper 2 it would find it and connect via the network. I like that because it's slightly faster. However it fails to find it on the list. I've added other devices so I know the hopper is broadcasting itself over the network.

Gotcha. I tried the scan option as well with no luck. Are you hard wired, or WiFi with your H3?

LOL, it seems like Harmony Remote wise I'm way behind in technology. I didn't even know they made Wi-Fi remotes that work with equipment like Dish.

I have the Home Hub controlling a hopper with sling and the recall button worked until I updated to the new Carbon UI. If I un-pair the hub and use the ir, it works fine. I even tried adding a "recall" button and it didn't work over the wifi paired to the hopper. It must be a new Carbon UI issue if I doesn't work on the H3 either. I am thinking about contacting Logitech to see if they know anything about it. Kind of weird it would work over ir but not wifi.

Contacted Logitech and this is there response:

Our engineering team has confirmed that there is an issue with the recall command when the Dish Hopper is connected via Wi-Fi. We have noted this issue and forwarded to the right channel to include the recall command in the next software update. Currently, we cannot tell how soon the update will be available but once it is implemented, we will be posting an official announcement.

Not just wifi. My Hopper is directly connected and recall did work, but now has stopped.
