Sling TV Tests Fox-Anchored Multi-Stream Service

OK ICE, on Sling TV Fox Sports South it's college baseball. Alt is showing the REDS game, Yay...and on my friends Fox Sports South cable it has an air show on!! Weird..but at least I know with Sling TV I can get my REDS unlike cable who only shows a REDS game maybe once in a week. Also getting Atlanta Braves on Fox Sports Southeast
weird.
Is your friend in the area? With the way FS South is broken out to 3 different "sub RSN's" depending on area it can get goofy

Like I say what I saw online was FS Tennessee (which is a sublet of FS South) had the Reds game on cable, college baseball on FS1 and Braves on Fox SE

Yes. He's a couple of streets down. The first logo to come on is "We are Fox Sports, we are, Ohio. Second is "We are Fox Sports, we are Tennessee" but it's actually the fs Ohio feed

The Fox Sports South feed was showing an airshow both on cable and Sling and the REDS were on the 2nd alt feed of South. Today, they are on the 1st alt feed, while South shows something else and sportsouth shows the Braves

Wednesday I'll get the cubs vs cards on the alt channel and then later REDS on the same channel. Predators are blacked out for some reason

The Predators are blocked out because they are in the playoffs & their games can be found on NBC Sports Network(& on PlayStation Vue if you have at least their $35.00 plan). I'll be honest, with having PlayStation Vue, I find it hard to justify having either Sling TV plan, unless I want A&E, History Channel, Viceland, El Rey, &/or Lifetime, which PlayStation Vue doesn't carry on any of their plans.

You can get A&E and History shows on the Roku without logging in, I discovered this last nite when doing my monthly log in on all my TV Everywhere apps.

Yeah, the monthly logins are always the highlight of my months, especially when signing in for some apps(cough~NBC Sports App~cough) is a major drama because it refuses to work with certain platforms(Kindle Fire), operating systems(Linux, Mac), or browsers(pick one) to sign in. I could sign in to keep the apps on my Roku & Fire TV active, but it was an exercise in futility to try to keep the app on my Apple TV active, no matter what I did, not even using Windows helped.

shouldn't be if the local RSN is carrying it. I was blacked out the other day on NBC SN on Roku because the Wild game was on FS North

I just learned that yesterday with NBC SN and the BTN one. Heck when I went to the BTN login page on the internet it said "page not found"....took 4 times for it to work

Because the Reds are on FS Ohio which is not the RSN in that area. They are put on the subfeed of FS Tennessee (which is just FS South but some cut ins)

Damn that would be confusing in that area depending on which provider you have

The 1st alt feed was probably the Preds game

The Reds game will always be on an alt in your area as Dish/Sling carries the FS South feed

sweet

running a zip on the Directv RSN site it says you are in the Hurricanes market which is very possible. Maybe at the state line is where the cutoff is.

now looking at an old article (dated late 2013) it says Georgia is covered by both Hurricanes and Preds

edit: checking on cable Sunday night the game is on FS Tennessee which should put the game on an alt channel on sling

Today REDS are on cable on Fox Sports South but blacked out on Sling. Very confusing

Extremely doubtful. How often do you think DISH loses a signal to someone? Rare. For a long time? Rarer. Cable may be somewhat more often, but people are complaining about high costs, so they are paying those costs AND paying another $20 or more a month? They are using Sling in conjunction with Amazon often, and Netflix at times also. (Amazon often because they already have Prime anyway)
