NASCAR 2016 season

I think they are...That and the truck races
but from what I read it is only on the shorter tracks (mile and under)
I was wrong. Its for the "Dash 4 cash" and looks like for 4 races

NASCAR XFINITY SERIES DASH 4 CASH

The NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash will be comprised of Two Heats and a Main at four tracks: Bristol Motor Speedway (April 16), Richmond International Raceway (April 23), Dover International Speedway (May 14) and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 23).

Qualifying for each Dash 4 Cash event will set the 40-car field and the starting positions for the Two Heats with the fastest qualifier awarded the Coors Light Pole Award. Odd-numbered qualifiers (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) will start in the first Heat in respective order, while even-numbered qualifiers (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.) will start the second Heat in respective order.

The Two Heats will set the starting positions for the Main with the top two NASCAR XFINITY Series regulars in each Heat becoming eligible for the Dash 4 Cash bonus. The highest finishing driver among the four Dash 4 Cash eligible drivers will be awarded a $100,000 bonus. If any driver wins two of the four Dash 4 Cash bonuses available, he/she is all but guaranteed a spot in the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase. In short, two Dash 4 Cash bonuses are equivalent to one race win in the new NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase format.

I think NASCAR is experimenting too to see how fans like the dash for cash racing.

Kyle had a tire go down or something the last lap... He practically stopped in the last corner... Hence I figure that's why he didn't get too upset

What's next doofus, I mean Brian, France? Maybe we can start taking the top ten for the last lap and have a demolition derby. Or maybe we give the top five cars a blindfold and see who can finish the race. All these gimmicks are getting worse as fans stop watching... It all started with the damn chase trying to be like the f'ing NFL

nope. The chase was started because Matt Kenseth won the title that previous year by winning ONE race (it was one of the early races that year if I recall)

So they put the emphasis now on winning

But every year they keep messing with the car, messing with the chase

That's correct. Because it was boring that year with Kenseth and France himself said he wanted to compete with the nfl and have a dramatic game 7 scenario. The nfl ratings shatter everything. That just doesn't work in racing...

Don't get me started on winning. Freaking Newman lost to Harvick by one position or point in the 2014 Chase and he didn't win a damn thing all year.

The chase was just a gimmick for drama to bring tv ratings up. That's gone well....that's why every damn year they twist it more to pump up the ratings but it's not working...
