Wayward Pines

Yup ...
Anybody left from last year with the exception to Wheel Chair Lady Megan and kids ?

DWS,
Hitler like leader (?) ... name is Jason.
If I seriously wanted to, i could look up the names of those people, they're just not worth the time. I'd rather remember "Margaret(the Abbie leader)" over their names. It is so easy to pick this show apart. One reason why the people from last season was all killed off, according to someone I read online(in the comments section), is that these actors' contracts ran out before wayward Pines came on air last season. Carla Gugino is on Showtime's Roadies, Shannyn Sossamon went on to Sleepy Hollow, etc. The show was supposed to be for only one season, why they threw in that cliff-hanger at the end of last season.... The best ending for this show would be if the Abbies overran Wayward Pines & the mountain & destroyed everything, killing everybody, both awake &/or still sleeping in those pods.

Poor wheelchair lady.:crying
Who'll run the rape...oops, I mean, "procreation" rooms now? I asked myself how did she not notice getting cut, then I remembered that she was paralyzed & couldn't feel it being done. Pitcher was too arrogant to see that he was the greatest threat to mankind.

I feel like Wayward Pines is getting fun to watch again, thanks to "Margaret." I wish they'd show a flashback of how jason got from distributing weapons to other 1 Gen'ers in the bunker they retreated to during the Abbie attack(& apprehending the adults, freezing them, before they could organize after Pilcher's death), to where he is today.

Thats just gonna put more of the show on Hitler .... or the guy that is suppose to be running things ... still think the girl is running the show.
Actually, she seems to be more on the side of reason than Adolph.

I just had a wild thought. Why do the 1st gen soldiers wear the Nazi type uniforms? Could David Pilcher have been a Nazi scientist (who had seized some of Europe's artistic treasures and stashed them) who experiment with "freezing" on himself and woke up, knew he could do it, then....yada, yada... Just a fun notion. I doubt the writers would be so creative.:)

I think that the writers wanted them to appear like the Nazis as an allegory. What about Pilcher's sister, Nurse Pam? Who knows how Wayward Pines would have turned out if Jason & the 1st Gen'ers hadn't of taken over right at the point of Pam killing her brother & Ethan blowing up the Abbies(& if Fox had committed to a second season in a timely manner that allowed them to keep their 1st season actors signed to the show & not committed to other projects).

The problem with Wayward Pines in both season 1 & 2 is the first half of each season basically dragged. Once they introduced the Abbies in season 1 & "Margaret" in season 2, the show picked up dramatically, but seemingly too late to save the show for another season. Unfortunately they'll most likely drag out whether they have a season 3 & then we'll have whole new actors to contend with. If they could have kept the actors from season 1, then jason most likely would have just been the "bad sheriff" rather than "Der Führer." Whatever happened to Ben's girlfriend, Amy, who is supposed to be one of the nurses in the hospital now?

Good Question, I have heard her name all year, but unless she went with him, which you'd think they would have said something ...
Was she killed at the end of last year ? I don't recall.

No, she greeted Ben at the end of season 1 when he woke up from his injuries(& being refrozen). That's when you also saw Jason as the sheriff.

So glad Megan is kaput!

Amen to that!

Unless something dramatic happens, looks like Margaret is now gone, too. At least that's what appeared to be the case at the end of the last episode. After all the time building her up, I'm shocked they killed her off that quickly.

Also interesting the developments of Jason's girlfriend. She seems to be getting closer to the rest of the town folks, and getting more fed up with the way Jason is trying to run the town. I'm waiting on him to dump her anyway, since she can't have his kids. I bet there's a breakup and she ends up leading the resistance before this is all said and done.

I wonder if that might be the direction they are trying to take this series, if they decided to try to run it on a yearly basis. Each season starts with a new group of players being awakened, and thru the season try to survive only to have some epic fail, then next season wake up a new bunch to try a different route to survival. Have enough carry overs from prior season for lessons learned, flashbacks, etc.
