Washington, D.C. (September 15, 2016) - Sling TV, the Net TV service owned by satcaster Dish, continues to stay aggressive, yesterday adding two more ESPN-owned sports channels.

The channels are ESPN 3 and SEC Network+.

ESPN 3 is a multi-screen online channel that airs games and events that are normally not broadcast by ESPN's suite of pay TV channels such as ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPNU. Sling TV's addition of ESPN 3 to its guide lineup as a regular channel is an industry first; the channel is usually only available at the ESPN web site or via the WatchESPN app.

Sling is getting better on an almost weekly basis. Now if they could just find a way to get the locals, it would be goodby DTV in January when my contract expires.

That would be fine if I lived where OTA channels were readily available. I am about 35 miles from both Baltimore and DC and the only channels available without an outside antenna are PBS. I am not allowed to have an antenna in my community. Stuck with either Comcast or one of the satellites for locals.

That's crazy, if you're allowed a satellite dish(which is normally mounted outside), then you technically should be allowed an outdoor antenna also.

35miles from both DC and Baltimore and you only get PBS? Doesn't sound right unless your using rabbit ears.

I am in Frederick MD. I had a company check all of my options for OTA. The result was that I would have to install a 35' antdenna. Something that my HOA would clearly no allow. They do offer the basic Comcast package in our monthly dues, but I do not use that, even though they have my preferred Baltimore channels and, although they could, DTV only gives me DC stations.

Are you saying that Comcast basic is part of your monthly dues, or that you can pay for it extra with your dues? If it is the former, then go ahead & hook it up since you are already paying for it. If it's the latter, never mind.

Where I live, WOW cable has this big metal ball looking thing attached in your home cable bo:mad:which is also locked up, but I have tools to get in) to prevent you from getting their [no cable box required] non-digital feed cable TV programming.(My town hasn't entered the 21st century yet, but we DO have a sewer system now, woo hoo) if you only are getting internet from them. Strangely enough though, you can get their OTA TV feed(& digital music programming channels) if you hook the coaxial cable up to your TV coaxial input(we used to have cable TV with their predecessor whom they bought out, so we have multiple cable outlets to do this). Can you confirm or deny being able to do that with Comcast if you have their internet only?

You cannot with comcast. They switched to digital. I have comcast Internet and DTV for TV

Up here I can get dozens of "digital test channels" when connection the cable company's line directly into the TV (I only have cable internet, no TV)
Same here with Blue Ridge, I can get all the locals in HD.
They are just in the channel 100-130 range.
Thats with Internet only subscription.

That doesn't matter.
The Digital channels are in the 100 range.

If you plug your Internet coax into your Digital ready TV, and channel scan, I garentee you will receive channels.
