Hopper 3 & 4k Joey w/ International Packages

I recently ordered a 4K Joey and had a tech come into install it (I currently have 2 Hoppers w/ Sling + 4 Joeys). All was going well until the Joey began to install the software. We waited for at least 20 minutes for it to download the software. (The tech didn't know the 4K Joey wouldn't work with the Hopper w/ Sling). So after the tech contacted Dish, he told me that the only way to get the 4K Joey was to replace all my hoppers and joeys with the Hopper 3 and 4K Joey. He also said that the International Packages would work with the Hopper 3. When I called to order the Hopper 3, they told me that it wouldn't work. They also said that the only way it'd work would be if I got rid of my International Packages (which I need, so I just hung up). Now I am here and my question is: Is it possible to have the Hopper 3 & 4K Joey work with International Packages. I also read that someone did have the same setup as me and it worked for him.

Hello KlixArts. The DISH phone agent is correct. International programming will not work with the Hopper 3 at this time.
Before, international programming was received with an additional add on dish and the programming would combine with the core packages from the other dish to provide all of your programming together. The Hopper 3 does not presently have the ability to combine the feeds from 2 sources or receive just international programming due to "switch and LNB" incompatibility with the international feed. We're very sorry.

It does but you need to update to the new Carbon UI before it will work.

The OP has been taken care of in PMs. n0qcu is correct that the 4k Joey does work with the HWS (H2), he just needed the new UI
