Most of the subchannels we have so far show old scripted drama/sitcoms. What other type of subchannels would you like to see? I would like to see more factual/documentary type channels in the same vane of Discovery/Nat Geo. If a subchannel launched with old Discovery/Nat Geo shows it would be good. Justice/Escape have a lot of crime shows from TruTV/ID/A&E. Justice even has recent shows from ID such as solved (2008) and Southern Justice (2014) The Killer Speaks (2013) Alaska State Troopers (2009) etc, Escape also has American Greed (2007) It takes a Killer (2016). So if a channel could acquire Discovery Network type programs it would be good, even a good 10 years old. I would also like to see a good retro music channel (or would rights to music videos be too difficult to acquire?)

A better Sci-Fi channel than Comet, one that doesn't try to pass off horror or old B-grade drive-in movies as SciFi. There's lots of good old SciFi out there that wasn't made by MGM, including everything in the Star Trek series. And then there's Firefly (okay, short run, but it was still a great show), Sliders, and quite a few others I can't think of off the top of my head. And if they get really desperate for "filler", they could carry shows similar to Ancient Aliens or something like that (I consider that a sort of sci-fi, too, though definitely not what you'd put in prime time).

Besides, in my area Comet is on the one channel I can't get reliably, so I'd hope they either have a satellite feed or at least get on a stronger station here!

Every Star Trek series is already on H&I, so that's probably not available. Buying someone else's programming breaks the business model of these subchannels. Comet is MGM only/mostly because they're owned by MGM. The programming is free

A channel that airs mostly 1990s cartoons, including my favorites, The Powerpuff Girls classic, SpongeBob SquarePants and maybe they could have the USA premiere of the English dub of the magical girl anime, Powerpuff Girls Z on this channel. Of course, the hardest part is getting Time Warner Entertainment (and other companies, like Viacom and DHX) to supply the programming. The people who own these programs are licensing them to places like Hulu, instead of giving the classic cartoons their own digital subchannel. I think they should create a channel similar to Mexico's Canal 5* that airs cartoons, movies, and sports, as well as educational programming for younger viewers during the morning and afternoon, while the nighttime hours would consist of programming aimed at adults, like Law & Order, for example.

If I worked in the field of broadcast engineering, I'd bring back Fond du Lac, Wisconsin's KFIZ-TV (which existed from 1968 to 1972 as Wisconsin's first independent TV station and sister station to KFIZ AM radio Fond du Lac) as KFIZ-HD, with the purpose of making youth television programming accessible to everyone in Wisconsin during the day, and provide an entertaining alternative to the educational stuff provided by PBS Kids or Qubo, although I would devote a few hours each day to educational programming to earn some brownie points from the FCC. The station would have its main operations in Fond du Lac with repeaters in Green Bay, Milwaukee, Madison, Wausau, La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Rhinelander, as well as an Upper Peninsula repeater in Escanaba, Michigan, serving Marquette and the surrounding area.

How do Escape and Justice Network get fairly recent programs from ID/TruTV/A&E? How do they get such recent series i.e ones that are not 20+years old? Could a subchannel do they same with Discovery/Nat Geo shows?
