How do you back up remote(timers) with U236 software on Hopper w/sling. Also how do you get the guide to show only HD channels.

Also how do you get the guide to show only HD channels.
There is an option to hide SD duplicates, but if you want the guide to only show HD channels, you would have to create a custom favorites list. "My HD Channels" is a guide option on the ViP receivers, but the Hoppers do not have that option as far as I know.

The Hoppers automatically back to the remotes about every other day. You don't really need to to a manual.

Yeah, but that is the problem. When the HWS deletes a timer on its own, you have no way of restoring the timers that you backed up. My HWS deleted CMT's Nashville and I did not miss it for several episodes, since I have 88 timers. But if I could manually backup and restore timers ONLY. I could be sure maybe once a week to restore timers and not lose programs. I have no way of knowing a program is missing until its too late.

In May 2013 I did a tracking of the back-up dates of my remotes with HWSs. The remotes were auto backed-up about once a week. Don't know when the Hopper 3 remotes perform the auto back up because the back-up date is no longer available.

That is the reason why seldom used remotes now go through batteries at a very wasteful rate.
Let's see, my 40 remote for my Hopper 3 sits in a box of remotes in an equipment cabinet that has glass doors. It updates every few days as KAB has mentioned. I haven't changed batteries in over a year and they still show full when I am in the diagnostics screen. There is little waste here...

Which Hopper do you have? Opps, I see you have Hopper 3. How do you know your remote has performed a back-up?
