Received software version U506 on my 2 Hopper3 receivers

I’m running the latest software on HWS with single OTA tuner.

I did the following and have experienced no OTA blocking thus far.
- pulled the usb OTA tuner
- unplug receiver for at least 30 seconds.
- Plugged receiver back in - leave receiver in standby mode once it reboots.
- leave receiver in stand by and Plug single tuner USB back in (top port on both my HWS)
- the receiver will reboot on its own after you plug the USB tuner back in.

This just in:

I just swapped to a dual tuner USB tuner that was just delivered.

I used the exact same procedure listed above to swap the tuners.

Exciting news - and to my surprise - I did not have to rescan for locals. Previous channels were already there... not sorry if already posted elsewhere

Yes, that is normal. The list of OTA channels is stored in the receiver, not in the dongle. I still have OTA channels on my list on my Wally that were scanned in with the old single-tuner dongle, and I have never even received some of them using the new dual-tuner dongle.

Exactly my experience. When I installed the dual tuner dongle, I scanned for OTA channels and saw that some were missing. I then put back the single tuner dongle, scanned and the missing channels were restored. I then switched back to the dual tuner dongle and all was well. Obviously the dual tuner dongle has issues with sensitivity, stability, and heat, but I think pretty much everyone is aware of that by now. I wonder if there's a new and improved dual tuner dongle in our future?
