Hopper 3 antenna pointing

I have checked and I'm getting 110 and 119 echostar 14 west as the the sat to use. Which is what I used with my 722dvr. So why would I need an eastern arc lnb? The line is getting a bit blurry.

If you can get the Eastern Arc satellites you can get all of DISH HD broadcasts. If all you can get is 110 & 119 you will only get about 10%of the HD channels.

The local programming for the Virgin Islands, Zip Code 00801, is on the western arc, weird as that may sound. You'll want a 1000.2 Western Arc LNBF with a Solo Hub. Not sure about the 129 unless there are some other channels on there but i bet the signal for it and the elevation are extremely low

If you are on the west slope of anything in USVI 129 is 16 degrees above the horizon, 110 about 34, 119 about 26.

So I got the solo hub and the lnb and did a late night last night setting them up. I can get the 110 and 119 sats but I can't get the third pickup to find anything while keeping the 110 and 119 locked. Also thanks to all especially HipKat for lending his expertise.

I'll bet that 129 is so low in the sky, possibly something is blocking it? It boggles me that you are so far east and have to use western arc, especially picking up Elmira channels. Elvira is a primarily eastern arc market
