Anybody else have trouble with the single tuner OTA adapter on Wally?

Channels slow to change, some don’t tune at all, receiver randomly reboots. Anybody else having issues?

Edit: the receiver also keeps doing “routine tests” on my EHD. Never seen that happen before I connected the single tuner, either.

Out of curiosity, do you also have a WiFi adapter connected to your Wally? I am not sure what combination of accessories causes this issue, but I also see the daily hard drive tests. Two of my Wally receivers each have a 1TB EHD connected directly to the top USB port on the Wally. On each Wally, I have the bottom USB port connected to a hub, to be able to connect both the dual-tuner OTA adapter and the WiFi adapter. Each day, after the daily reset, each of these receivers will perform the hard drive test and turn itself back on. Then, if I do not use the Wally (in other words, if I have not pressed any buttons) each Wally will turn itself off after four hours of inactivity, only to immediately turn itself back on. Neither Wally will go into standby unless I put it in standby by turning it off. (Or, after any actual activity, such as a button press or an Alexa command, the four hour inactivity shutdown will properly put the Wally in standby.) Have you noticed any behavior like this? (For instance, if the Wally is already turned on in the morning when you haven't turned it on, and you don't have any timers that would turn it on.) This seems like it would be an awful waste of electricity for a rarely-used Wally to be turned on most of the time, like mine are if I have not actually used it that day.

I have it hard-wired to ethernet so I can’t help there, but I can tell you the EHD is connected to the top USB port and the OTA dongle is plugged into the bottom. I just hooked up the single tuner today so will give it a few days to see if the receiver settles out and starts behaving like it should

My oldest Western Digital Mybook drive connected to my Hopper3 would do an external drive test every night that took several hours. That early version drive did not have SMART capability in the drive’s firmware. I stopped using that drive since it would tie up my Hopper3 receiver while doing the drive check. The drive check could take as long as 3 or 4 hours. If you have an external drive that does not have SMART status that could cause the Receiver to do a drive check since the status of the drive is unavailable.

Exactly THIS ^ until I 'upgraded' and I use that term loosely to the dual Tuner which isn't much better, but IS much more stable in that regard.
