The Walking Dead on AMC

This show has me rolling my eyes more every episode. It's not showing signs of improving too.

I didn't think episode two was as bad as episode one, except for Enid's newfound medical skills. There's no way a teenage girl saws off her friend's arm as decisively and coolly as she did by herself without any formal training and more extensive field work beyond stitching up cuts with supervision. Most of the rest of the episode was character development and relationship drama. Oh, and why is there such a shortage of water for the workers? They're building a bridge over an effing river!

The gasoline is one thing they do not run out. It is quite stupid to try to start developing a government or a constitution among these cell of survivors without looking at the big picture. Too much of the same story without moving forward.

They have ethanol. It was mentioned in the first episode.

It doesn't look like that river is all that big so I don't understand how it's so important for getting to other areas. I can't imagine that is the only way to get to other locations in the entire area.

After a very crappy and slow start I thought this latest episode was one of the best ones in a long time. I'm actually looking forward to the next one.

I stopped watching this as of this season. However, I always hoped that the final episode would consist of Rick finally waking up in his original hospital bed, and the whole story just starting! The whole series was actually a foreshadowing dream of his.

I thought they did an okay job of handling his departure. It was Gimple-written episode, so not as bad as it might've been. According to Lincoln in an interview aired during Talking Dead, he was supposed to leave at the end of season 8 and three different ending options were shot. But he thought losing Carl and him in the same season was a bit much, so he agreed to go five episodes into this season.

The biggest head-scratcher for me is how they've gotten rid of Lauren Cohan. This was her last episode as well for the foreseeable future, and possibly even permanently if her career takes off and they can't come to an agreement with her. No mention of it even on the Talking Dead, which normally would've made a huge deal over such a major character's departure.

Was it her last one? I had thought she was on the show up until the mid-season finale in ep. 8

If so, I guess they'll explain her being gone with a throwaway line, easy to do with the time jump.
They probably didn't give her a send off due to her leaving because they wouldn't pay her more money.

The fact that nothing was mentioned on Talking Dead is a clear indication of who is in charge of that show and what it covers. This no doubt comes from Gimple and he really blew off Carl the same way. Hardwick is too much of an a**-kisser to risk going off script.

The show aired a new episode last night if anyone missed it. I watched about half of it, and was tired so I will finish it today.

Saw a report that the actress playing Michonne is leaving the show.

Goodbye, Michonne: Danai Gurira is leaving The Walking Dead on AMC after Season 10

GOODBYE, MICHONNE: DANAI GURIRA IS LEAVING THE WALKING DEAD ON AMC AFTER SEASON 10

Mere months after Andrew Lincoln parted ways with AMC's The Walking Dead, Danai Gurira has announced that she plans to do the same, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the shocking development, Gurira will return as the katana-wielding Michonne for Season 10 in just a few episodes that will be dispersed throughout the season. After that, her character will leave the post-apocalyptic series forever. Still, there's now a decent chance of her showing up in a TWD movie trilogy with Lincoln.

"She has been very vocal about saying that she loves the show. We love Danai; we love that character. Right now, she's got a lot of opportunities and she needs to weigh what she feels is best for her. But we certainly would want her on the show as long as she wants to be on it," AMC Programming President David Madden told THR back in November. "We really want her to stay. She is an incredibly valuable character, and I'm really hoping she stays. Obviously, the lesson of Andy is that the show can survive anybody's departure if need be, but that's not our goal. The goal is to have Danai continue on whatever basis she can make work, given the other things that she has going on in her life."
