fox sports dispute

When I get mad I vote with my wallet. I simply go to another provider and if that provider doesn't have what I want I find something else to do with my time. Life is short, no need to get worked up and make it shorter... ;)

I was going to respond to him, but didn't think I could be as tactful as you. "garbage" and "cheated"? Why would anyone even do business with someone they felt that way about?

I saw a blurb that AT&T and DirecTV Now are in a dispute with NFL Network...HMMM! The tide flows both ways.

Just heard a DJ on Q95 in Indianapolis telling people to switch to Comcast Xfininty so they can watch the Reds. That's the first time I've heard something like that on radio.

The push to switch providers is really becoming aggressive-

For the record, the wife signed up with Dish when DirecTV after 15 years started giving us issues by raising the price $5 every other month and refused to lower the bill at all. I would've gone back to them, but I sold off all of the equipment that I installed myself.

There is no other choice for TV or internet in my area. The cellular internet service here is 1X/2G and I absolutely must have internet service. Our area doesn't even have landline phone service anymore, so even dialup isn't an option anymore. I could probably do without TV service, but that's not an option either with kids.

A dishonest CSR telling someone over the phone that their internet service was unlimited and didn't have a data cap just to sell them a service is absolutely cheating someone. It was unlimited at night (2am-8am) for the first month, but after that went to their garbage data caps that they lied on the phone about.

I really enjoy these recent Sling commercials with the couple watching baseball. What a classy company.

If it's not resolved by October, would this cause games on NHL Center Ice to not be in HD?

The bet here is yes. They will likely SD for the Fox RSN (Home) feeds. Non-FOX away feeds may still be in HD IF Dish has an agreement to carry them. We shall see.

You know what really was dishonest?

Dish used to print a brochure every year with the NFL schedule to put in the stores.

They would list all the games in a way to make people think Think Dish had football.

But what they did was list all the channels in the NY, Chicago, Denver and LA distant networks which nobody could get unless they lived in an un served area.

yeah, most likely Sinclair is the very reason this dispute is ongoing. had Disney been allowed to own the RSNs like they were originally agreed to during the announcement/agreement in principle phase of the merger, the RSNs would be on Dish still.
