Both Dobbins and Tua should’ve received an invite before Young. Gus Johnson wouldn’t think so though. He did everything but kiss the guy on the mouth during his telecasts.
I would add Tua as well, but you know he's not going to win as he also missed games ...

No Way should Chase Young NOT be invited ...

Of the players that were chosen, I would list them in this order if it were me voting.

Burrow(eaux) That was awesome btw.
Young
Fields
Hurts

If I were to place Tua (had he played the whole season) I would have put him either before or after Fields .... Probably right behind Fields as Fields has had a fanominal year.

As for the Buckeyes vs Wisconsin game ... I thought in the first half, you would have thought the Wisconsin TV crew was calling the game ...

Probably because they’re often drafted by the NFL’s bottom dwellers. Burrow looks destined for the Bungles, poor guy. Fans and owners are too impatient to build teams around them.
I think Tua may go to a Very good team if one is willing to take a chance that he comes back 100 % ...

I don't know but maybe the Pats for example ... they can take a chance not needing one right away.
Steelers could also take a chance.

Along with all the bottom dwellers, but with his injury, it might just get him to a functional team.

I could see that, a team that has a quarterback with a few years on him needing a solid backup to eventually become the quarterback *cough*Falcons*cough*, giving him time to recover from the injury.

Injury might have helped save him from the Bungles or another bottom dweller.

Impatient? No. The owner sucks as a GM and won't trade players away when it is time to rebuild so he can get draft picks.

Looking at the Vegas odds for the national championship,
LSU ( -13) over Sooners
Clemson (-2) over tOSU

My feelings also one blowout game and one barnburner.

I think the same, except that the blowout with be the one with only a 2 pt spread.

Yeah, Clemson is kind of a mystery because of their schedule. Just how good we will soon find out. Shoot they could take it all again and I wouldn't be surprised.

And that's why they're dangerous. They get no respect. As you know they're the defending national champions.
I think Clemson IS getting respect .... all year they left them high in the polls, even after the close call they had with NC ...
Good for them, that game served as a wake up call ...

The 1st half of the season Clemson sleep walked thru thier season, played very lackadasical just basically Uninterested or bored .... you could see it when Lawrence was throwing interceptions every week, to thier credit, Dabo got thier attention and brought them back in focus and since then the interceptions have stopped and the focus has returned ...

THey have played very well since thier scare with NC.

Most teams not named Bama would have dropped in the polls when they played lackluster as they were.

Same as last year, and we all saw what happened to Alabama. If Ohio State starts off slow and gets behind like they did against Wisconsin, it could be a repeat of last year as Clempson doesn't let off the gas.

For Ohio State to win, they need to start off strong and not get into a hole.

As for LSU & Choklahoma, it all depends on which Sooner team shows up. That could easily be a slugfest or a runaway game for the Tigers.

2015 was the last time a team dropped from preseason #1 ranking without losing a game and then only dropped 1 position to #2. You have to go back to 1971 when Notre Dame dropped further. I don't think they got the respect they deserved and surely wouldn't want to meet them in the first round.

Everything you mentioned in this post could go either way ....

Of course its not a good idea to put yourself in a hole ... (for any team ) the ability to get out of said hole is what makes the teams better than the rest.
If Ohio State's O line can protect Fields, it will be a good night.
Thats where I have the most concern.
Along with the Linebackers, but that is always a sore spot the last few years.
Linebackers have been MUCH better this year than last, but still not up to Ohio State standards.

One thing I think people are forgetting about with Clemson is how good thier Running Back (s) are.
You always hear about Lawrence and the WR's ...

It should be an interesting game.

The system was WAY different back then ...
It was top 2 teams, so they only dropped to 2 ...

Now its top 4, theres more room to move around without being Out ...

When was the last time the Top team played a 1 point game against a non ranked opponent ?
They deserved to drop.

Now, as I was saying .... if they had dropped to say 5 or lower, THAT would have been reason to complain.

I'll take them in the 1st round, gladly ...
I'd much rather play the TOP teams if I'm gonna play.

I WANT to play Clemson ... win or lose ...
Expecting a good close game, one way or the other.

Back in 2008, Georgia started the season at #1. After game 2 they dropped to #2. Then after game 3 they dropped to #3 (which would knock them out under the BCS system), even though they won all 4 of their first 4 games.
