The Mandalorian - Disney+

I too enjoyed it although it was a little short. Surprised Cara didn't accompany him at the end. She probably has some New Republic sources, assuming they are going to search for Jedi remnants.

Giancarlo Esposito shows up again in another bad guy role.

Finally watched this. Overall I enjoyed it, but agree that the short episodes were a bit surprising.

Season 2 returns on October 30. The Mandalorian Season 2 Is Locked In for October Premiere Date

I assume one episode a week again so I will wait until it is all available.
Same for us, the plus for binge watching allowed my wife to get more into it and she loved the show, normally she hates Star Wars, Marvel, etc.

She would be quite happy having Food Network on all day.....yech.

Also she loved Star Trek Discovery and we binged that as well, Picard she was bored with the first episodes but was happy at the end, if we watched it weekly she would have been done with it after the 2nd episode.

Surprised no discussion of this. Finished last night. Good season 2 for me although still some thirty-something minute episodes. Had to go figure out the timeline for this series to see if the age of the surprise visitor in the last episode made sense. It does. Surely there is more of that story to come as Baby Yoda seems to be the most popular character.

Read today there is a Boba Fett spinoff due in December 2021. In production now. Season 3 of the Mandalorian starts production after Boba is complete. That means season 3 is likely in 2022.

I think Disney is taking a big gamble on that one.

I finally got hooked in to Disney+ for Christmas, a much better value than Netflix for our household. So I was finally able to start and complete both seasons of “The Mandalorian”. I did screw up by accessing Twitter which had blown the Season 2 Finale surprise.

The little comic bits that were tossed in from time to time were great like the two speeder stormtroopers who were trying some target practice and were never able to hit the thing they were aiming at. And for the geek in me who likes the behind the scenes nuts and bolts, check out the series on The Volume, basically a room with LED screen walls and ceiling that is parallax-corrected to the camera so the actors are playing to what they see, not a blue tennis ball on a stick. Plus, Mando’s shiny armor can reflect the environment and actually shows events that are out of frame, selling the whole story.

Overall, I’m glad I watched this, but underneath, I guess I’m more of a Star Trek fan. I’ll watch the new Boba Fett series, sure, and I have the Clone Wars episodes to start on. But my vacation is almost over, and I’ll have less time to watch for a while.

Did you watch the post credits scene in the finale?
