Hopper 3 Resetting

Hello, dvrexpander. The File System Check process is usually not an indicator of an issue on its own, as it occurs after a reset of the Hopper. Since the check and the self-resets, have you manually rebooted the Hopper by unplugging it? If you have and it continues to reset on its own or gives the File System Check message again, it could be a warning of a power issue to the Hopper.
If you get a moment need to figure out whats needed next. thanks

I searched a little but couldn't find an exact reference to this issue.
I don't watch it much anymore but noticed the other night the Hopper 3 just reset itself, went thru a file system check all passed and booted back up.
Last two nights roughly same time frames 8pm-9pmish it reset once each night around those times but didn't do a file check.
Is this thing failing? Can someone with DIRT contact me if so about having it replaced before recordings get lost and I can't transfer if it fails?

Thanks

You can demand all you want. You will get what they have....
I'll cancel before I accept a refurbishment, I'm not gonna play games with Dish anymore.

I'm close to that decision anyway. I spoke with somebody in Tech, told them if I need an H3 replacement that it has to be New or I cancel.

So, the ball is the DISH-TV court!!!

Then be prepared to back it up. If the tech doesn't have a new one all he can do is a refurb. They really don't care if you leave or not.

For the most part RSP's will get the notification of needing a new when requested. The one I worked for got it from many customers and they had a nice new pallet of receivers ready to go for those particular. I think for the most part just having an H3 swapped should be as easy as swapping from it being mailed out. After all I know for me I've gotta back up a bunch of saved movies/shows etc so that will take some time anyway vs have a tech come stand there and watch for peanuts in pay.

That's not how it works. If you need to transfer or backup recordings, we'll leave the old receiver and call Dish to send you a return kit

Yes I do believe they did that last time, but ya know how it goes sometimes.
All I need now is Dish Support to reply lol
I suppose if I hear nothing from them by the weekend I'll get the ball rolling.
