Galaxy 19 tp 12184

Hello everyone.

I am getting every other transponder on Galaxy 19 97w with a quality of in the mid 70's but I somehow can't get tp 12184 H (p) 22500 (sr) to tune in. I have tweeked the dish/lnb but can't lock that tp for some reason. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

What size dish? That frequency is DVB-S2 8PSK, so it would be more difficult to tune than the others, the majority of which are DVB-S.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have a 39 inch dish. It's weird though, all other tp listed on lyngsat do come in green with quality of 75.

Try fine tuning one of the other weaker TP's you can receive. LNB skew, move dish slightly east/west. Then see if you can get 12184.

It is a linkbox 8000 local. I bought from a yard sale last week. Not sure how old though.

If this is the reciver, then it's from 2012 and doesn't tune DVB-S2

Yes that's the one! Yes makes sense now. Every other tp is DVB s and this is DVB-s2. Do you recommend any inexpensive receivers? Thanks

I'll defer to others, like KE4EST and Hyper Casey since I haven't bought a receiver in a while. One of those 2 guys will point you in the right direction

According to this, this model is dvb s-2 compliant though. So confused lol

Weird, the manual you had posted didn't have DVB-s2 and the one I had found does. Maybe two different receiver versions? I guess the only way to find out is by getting a fully compliant dvb s2 receiver lol.

Don't feel bad. I read the specs in the manual you posted and didn't see any mention of DVB-S2 either.
