I see Dish has a newer remote. It is version 60.0. They want $20.00 online ($27.60 with tax and shipping). Amazon is showing it for $29.00 with free shipping but I can get it free with my Amazon reward points. It also says it maximum range is 30 feet, but on the Dish site it says it has a 150 foot range. Also on the Amazon site it says it is a generic brand not Dish. Does anyone know if this is a knock from the one available directly from Dish? They both show the same SKU of DN018897. Dish shows a one year warranty where as Amazon is showing 3 month warranty.
I kind of like the new layout of the buttons. Has anyone used this new remote and how does it compare to the 54.0 remote?
The 60.0 is a little bigger and better than the 54.0 but not by much. It added a couple of buttons, BUT THE LAYOUT IS WORSE! It is still missing buttons that should always be there. Everything takes 2-steps or more just because of missing buttons! Still no STOP, RECORD, INPUT. DOES ANYONE AT DISH HAVE A BRAIN? The 54.0 is just downright HORRIBLE! When will Dish wake up and realize that 40.0 remote was the best one they have ever made? Until a few weeks ago, I continued to use the 40.0 and was very, very happy! Now, with the new look and new upgrades (that's an oxymoron), some of the buttons on the 40.0 no longer work! Dish has broken the great 40.0 remote! The new guide is almost unusable. Dish appears to be actively trying to lose customers to the competition!
!!! i don't know why they just couldn't keep giving the echo dots out for new subs
