probably $1 for top180, $1 for top120, but top60 is frozen at whatever it is at until 2008. But nothing has been released by Dish about any price increase as of yet, nor will there be until probably January some time if there is one at all

some things in life are certain price increases from dish for lackluster service, death, and taxes!

cause dish should just give the service away for free!?!
If there is a better deal out there for you then take it! There is no reason to stick with them if that is so. For me, even if they raise my rate $1 next year, it is still the best deal out there for me. I get my programming I want, it comes in clear and with very few interruptions, and what I spend on my bill compared to my friends who have comcrap is less, so no reason to complain!

i wont complain about price increase ill gladly pay 1 dollar more per month my dish account is there just to bitch, which i take full advantage of as you know.

Slam i wouldnt call comcast comcrap but maybe thats just me their internet is awesome and the tv product i dumped dish to bare minimum and decided to give my money to comcast instead and its already paid dividends, as i have the 6 star wars all in hd and dvr'ed thank to cinemax hd and comcast.

Personally I wouldn't have the six Star Wars movies in sd, hd, or m o u s e! But that's just me!

Prices in the past have raised $1-3 per month in the past so I expect the same next year except for AT60 and maybe the Family package.

With the size of the Comcast HD DVR that would about fill it up... I would only get all of them if I could off load them to a different device.
stock it comes with a 120 gb dvr i upgraded mine to a 160gb as some areas use the 160's not my area though but its recognized by the box
my 6416 has 32 percent left and is 68 percent full by the 6 star wars movies in hd
so ya it is a significant amount:)

ok dish has how many millions of subscribers?, even a $1.00 a month increase
would rake in a bundle of money for charley, right, ok,now dish said we would have
local on the 8's on channel 214, i don't see it,this time last month how many of you guys was watching distant local', do you see them now? is it even remotely
possible that in 2007 we will no longer have dvr's? in my opion any increase to
any package would be to offset legal's fee's,and i haven't seen any really good
channel's added either.oh i almost forgot the money saving outsoursing
that we all have to put up with.

I have not heard anything about a increase and they just did one about year ago. So right now I don't think it will happen but you never know.

WHY a price increase? With the loss of DNS and the cost of OTA anenna (200+) and maybe the loss of function on our DVR. Lost the ability to record networks, because of my two being OTA.

Here in Ohio Time Warner Cable just announced a 5.1% increase. I'll take the Dish $1 increase over the continuing 5+% increases that TWC has been doing for years now.

"which i did thanks to comcast"

You've got to be kidding! Here in the Bay Area Comcast has raised prices for at least the last 5 yrs. and it's a 6%-7% increase every year. And you're complaining about $1.00 increase a year? Sorry but I don't see the problem with paying an extra $1.00 a year more.

Loss of DNS only affected about 900,000 of the 12.7 million subs Dish has. Of that about 300,000 of them can receive their locals anyway and were only getting distants cause they already had them or for "some other reason". And doesn't Dish paying for the OTA antenna if you have to have one?
DVR isn't going anywhere. It will be on Dish until some new technology comes around.
Prices for channels goes up, prices for putting satellites in the air goes up, prices for hiring employees, insurance, operating, etc. all goes up. So yeah, $1 isn't really unreasonable when some cable companies are raising their rates 5-7% a year.

Here Comcast announced a 3.2% average increase, and out west as much as 6.2%. Agreed $1 is a lot less, but would it even affect us newbies under contract?
