Icy Sat Dish!!

FYI--- Satellite dishes don't like ice and slush very well!!! I just got home from work and didn't have any signal...I was expecting the worse until I noticed the slushy ice all over the dish!!

I wiped it off and all is well !!! Still got 96% signal strength!!

Thats what I like about D* compared to E*--I hardly ever lose signal, even during heavy storms!!!:up :up

it snowed here in peridot,AZ
and lost signal to the Directv,5 lnb dish, worldirect dish both at 0 %
dishnetwork signal was 103% on,dish 500, dish 1000, dish 300

when light rain , i lose signal on the directv it goes seaching for sat
the HD is better and not pixle on dishnetwork
directv HD is a joke , only have total choice p pack no HD

i Have directv 1H20, 1 HR20, 1 R10 ,2 D10, the 5 LNB dish, worlddirect dish
as for dish network have VIP211, dishpro 301 , dish 1000, dish 300 dish 500 pointed at 61.5 110 119 148

i might throw away the HR20 or give it away, maybe trash it
but i'll keep the h20 since the dvr are junk

Sounds like you need your dish peaked, and update your HR20-700 with the most current update, THEN you may find the HR20-700 more to your liking, unless you are a TIVO person that will not accept change.
