Verizon FiOS and Sports Packages

Just was wondering if and when Verizon will be offering any type of out-of-market professional sports packages, i.e. MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center ICE, MLS Direct Kick?

When they sign an agreement with InDemand. No idea when it will be, but the lack of sports packages is a major downfall, especially since FIOS should be able to carry alot of HD feeds of games.

And you know this how? In Demand just signed an agreement with MLB for EI for the cable companies. There is nothing explicitly exlcuding Dish, FiOS, or other minor cable providers from offering it other the the cost.

InDemand represents and works for cable. You really think cable wants to give a helping hand to FIOS?

They can't legally refuse to negotiate with VZ. Whether VZ wants to pay what the others are paying is whole different story.
