First thing, I am not one to 'bash' or 'discriminate'. But, I want to know if anyone has had the same problem...I need to get this resolved asap.

This is my only outlet at this point.

If you read under another topic on my posts you will see that I purchased a TwinHan Starbox USB receiver, I could not get it to work on my new laptop, therefore, I returned it to Sadoun (where I purchased it). Taking you back a couple of months--I had returned something else to Sadoun, after numerous attempts to get a return # (as required by them to return products) on their website, which didn't work, then several long distance calls just to get the girl on the phone to give me a RMA#, I finally got a RMA# after 2 days of aggrivation/long distance calls and returned the product to be partially refunded after their 20% restocking fee, my thought on this would be 100% refund because of my troubles. Well that was then, now I am trying to return my Starbox, and guess what....

--Not only did I try again this time to get a RMA# off their website, only to see it didn't work again...and then I called 3 times, long distance because no one would answer the tollfree number. First call long distance, on hold 6 minutes, then was disconnected. Second call long distance, got a lady who told me to hold after taking very limited information from me, waited 17 minutes and I hung up, then finally after completing my errands I tried a third time long distance, and got the same lady, expressed being upset and trying to get a RMA # to return a product and then was told 'the lady who does them isn't here, she will call you back tomorrow'; tomorrow came, no call back! Furious at this point because I know I will not get a full refund of $103.00 and took it into my own terms and returned the product w/ the receipt and w/ no RMA# because my life prohibits me to live on or by a phone long distance just for a RMA# to return a product with a receipt, if it is their policy then they need someone there to give them out cause the website hasn't worked for me either time I returned something. Sooooo.... 2 weeks later, and after receiving notices from UPS that it was received by them (because I sent it back w/o RMA# but with the receipt with all my information), I checked and no credit back on my credit card from them, so I call yesterday, long distance, and guess what, same lady answered and was put on hold several different times--i'm guessing she had customers, I told her the situation and she told me I was basically 'SOL' because I didn't get a RMA#, I then told her my situation, she got very rushy and said she would pass the info to the same girl who does RMA#'s and she will call me today, because once again she wasn't there...go figure. Well today, no call back, I put a few things off today because of this call, and knowing it was going to be complicated if she even called back.

So where does this leave me? Well 2 weeks after the return I still got no credit, and only going to get a 80% refund of the product price not including shipping from them and back to them...so I'm only expecting $50 back....then no callback today, couldn't get a RMA# at all, so I am screwed basically out of my money. And if this is how Sadoun is going to perform business, then I am taking the responsibility in saying that others should know what to expect when you are not satisfied with a product from them.

Mods, please do not remove or move this thread. Thanks for everything this site does, I enjoy it, however my choice on using Sadoun will be no further, I also know he reads this and hope he responds, I REFUSE TO CALL BACK LONG DISTANCE JUST TO GET PASSED ON TO SOMEONE ELSE! nor do I want this to go unsaid via a PM to him!

What would make me happy? To get my full $103 back after the $25-30 in long distance calls and trouble from your RMA# systems and people not working right--which is not a customers fault!

Thanks, sorry so long!
-Josh

Any advice please respond!

Well I will leave that up to Sadoun. Also since they read this forum maybe they will respond and take care of this. However I am not sure what they do in this matter.

Maybe things have changed there.
I did some return/exchanges about 16 months ago, and had no trouble using their toll-free line, getting through to someone, getting RMA numbers, and being helped both politely and quickly.
I too am confident the problem will be resolved.
Best of luck.

I am having a similar problem right now with them. I bought a HH Motor that moved twice then stopped for good. They want me to pay shipping and a 20% restocking fee. I already ordered and payed for another motor from them so you would think they would try to help out a little. We will see what happens but it looks like it may be time to look for another supply source

I was going to purchase a receiver from them but after several unanswered calls during business hours I went elsewhere.

One simple rule I follow, if a company does not answer the phone the likelihood of future problems goes up a great deal.

Hmm interesting. Maybe they'll chime in and reply. If not, possibly managment is on vacation and the underlings are running the place? I've never really ordered from them, but after reading this thread I'm reluctant to do so ever. My chances on ebay are not so great with customer service, but prices are better than Soudon, and I know for a fact that if I don't get an order paypal and ebay will see to it that I get my money back in a timely manner... not so great on ebay for returns, but to get money for goods never received it couldn't be better.

I haven't had problems with Sadoun return policies, but did have a problem with their rebates that they offer. I did not receive paperwork with my order, so I didn't have the information necessary to complete the rebate process. I emailed them asking for the information so that I could complete my rebate forms, but they never bothered to reply to either of my requests. (only cost me $20, but in reality the $20 was what made the price better than utilizing another vendor).

I did get all my freebies that they promised with my order, and also 'won' a free hat from them at one point too, so that went well anyhow :/ Overall, I don't see them being any different than any online vendor that I've ever used (except that they are quick at shipping, and relatively decent priced). I'll certainly be using them again.

BTW - if you were only planning on getting 50-80 dollars for your returned item, why not resell it here or on ebay? You certainly could have gotten more than that elsewhere.

I have done business with Sadoun plenty of times , really .

My Purchases.

3 x 90 cm Dishes
1 Stab HH100
1 SNH-031 Invacom LNB
8 x Combiner -Diplexers
1 Super Dish Mount

And yes I once returned item using RMA # , I am very satisfied with their service , not once did I have to pay out of pocket for a mistake or damaged item.

Here's a suggestion , If you have a problem PM Sadoun , I have gotten prompt responses from him .

Because this forum is important for the FTA community and Sadoun is a Gold Sponsor I have no doubt that the OP's problem will be handled appropriately.

Hopefully by the end of the Day everything is fine and those who have doubted have confidence again.

I too have done the phone calls and I can say there is room for improvement , I have also been patient which helped too.

I am with you Mastermesh. Ebay is a lot cheaper than most Vendors. I got A Brand new Mercury ll for $125.00 including shipping. Yes I was a little bit nervous about the whole thing but it turned out to be the right choice.

I have ordered a great deal from Sadoun, and been very happy with them. Anytime I call the lady is always nice and gets things taken care of. I only had them ship the wrong item once, and a short email to them and in no time I had the correct item, along with a prepaid UPS pick up ticket. The only issue I have had a few times is a shipping delay, but nothing that is any different than any other vendor. I know I have found a few things cheaper before, but I went with Sadoun for the fact that 1) they are a sponsor here 2) Sadoun (I am not sure his name) post on this forum so there is direct contact with "the man".

I would go so far as to say they will rectify this situation. Good luck!

PM SENT!

I'm glad you guys are getting things taken care of.

On another note... people still pay for long distance calls in the US? Guess I've been away from the POTS world too long.

I bought a Twinhan 1030 from Sadoun, which brand new out of the box would only scan 50 - 60% of the channels I was getting with my 1020, and SS2.

RMA'ed it but had to pay a RESTOCKING FEE. Bottom line, I only buy from Sadoun as a last resort now!!!

I have bought from Sadoun in the past but never had to return to them(except a defective STAB, but sent back to vendor for repair). But I have purchased from other vendors that mandate a restocking fee and ACCEPT that as a part of doing business with that vendor. These on-line vendors accept a lower margin to do a larger amount of sales and they need to charge this restocking fee for many reasons, one of which, many customers do not have clue what they are doing and would return it when nothing is wrong just because they do not know what they are doing, unfortunately these vendors would not be in business too long if they accepted everything back without restocking fees. If you do not like the vendors POLICIES, do not purchase from them, PERIOD. I, for one would purchase from them in the future.

Actually I have had the same 'minutes plan' on my cell for 7 yrs, however its not a nationwide plan, only NC/SC/GA/TN....the nationwide plans came out way after I got this deal....so therefore I am not going to lose 300 mins a month just to get nationwide coverage at what I pay now. So anything outside that area is long distance. So yes, I still get the charges. LOL.
