i had another thought on the fan noise or whatever it is. on my other tv, i have the option to "fast power on" which i assume leaves power on to keep the tv "warmed up". is there an option on this tv to turn that off? i noticed if i unplug, and then plug this tv in, it takes about 90 seconds...

is that a limitation of the 722? also its never 1080p? i saw dishnetwork advertising 1080p

dual mode. the loud tv is the 2'nd tv, so the 722 is actually connected to the first tv, not this Loud one.

its just plugged into the wall, and hooked up to dish 722 but even unhooked and just powered in, it makes that annoying noise. runs 24/7 when plugged in. even when turned off.

they had this tv onsale at ultimate electronics for $1995, and the 4 year warrentee for $449 covering all parts, tubes, etc. picture looks great but i couldnt find any reviews on it. any thoughts, advise on this model please? seems cheap for a 73" tv, but i cant find out why...

i have a phone line hooked up via a cordless phone jack, that plugs into home wiring to allow phone connection where there is no phone jack. i was assured by DN that it would work exactly like plugging in a landline to an outlet, but for some reason i dont get the caller id popup on this...

trying to get the remote control to work so the volume on the reciever is controlled instead of the tv volume, when on sat button. basically if i want to change volume, i have to switch to aux ( reciever ) button, adjust volume, then click back on sat button to change channel.. and back and...

i got my 3rd 8300 box today, the 2 others had the same problem of rebooting a few times a day for no reason. when i change from non HD to HD channels, my sound level drops by about 35%. any ideas why? using upconvert-1 setting, with 480p and 1080i only set. running through a sony 5.1 reciever
