It always signs on to position 2. The only way I can get back to position 1 is to power off and then on.

Thanks for all the help, I still can't figure it out. I played guitar hero, went back to the dashboard, disconnected the guitar and turned on the controller and the controller keeps coming up as number 2. I really hate having to power cycle all the time, this can't be good for it.

I use a USB hub and just switch on the one I want to use at the time. My drives sit on top of the 622.

I believe a wireless bridge (a/k/a Wireless Game Adapter) would work.

I would agree with you whole-heartedly if I paid full retail for one. The retail prices are really inflated vs. what they sell for on the web. I have never paid more than $100 with shipping for one, and most i have bought were around $80 shipped.
