Did these offers involve a 2 year contract extension?

Can't believe Dish's website says that this is the first All-HD Winter Olympics and they pull crap like this...none of the iTV stuff is in HD...oh, but we get up to three on-demand in HD per day. Am I missing something?

Has any one else (current customers) received a mailer from Dish with a "special" offer to either upgrade to HD for free or receive $10 off current programming for 12-months along with some other incentives with a 24 month commitment? If so, have you called on it? I'm wondering if this applies...

You think they might change the interface of the 622's and 722's to be similar to this with future software update? Sling technology is cool, but the main reason I would upgrade to the 922 is for the new interface...much more MOXI like!

Well, excuse me for not planning ahead:confused:! I know I have heard a "rumor" that the 622's run hotter than similar DVR's and wanted to know if that was valid. I know my older Dish SD DVR never ran as hot and, in fact, had it in an enclosed media center with no heat problems.

You answered that question yourself...the thread is inactive, therefore I thought it best to start a new thread with my specific questions. Isn't that what a forum is for???:D

I recently had a built-in media center installed, which has really been great, except for the fact that there is little to no air flow for my components, which includes my 622 and it's running really hot. The average temp was above 120 degrees and it gets to about 145 degrees before it freezes...

I agree Dish could be using their time better, but I think it will only help their PPV and movie channel revenue (don't tell Fandango). We will now all be reminded of how expensive it is to go to the movies, especially with the extra fee Fandango adds. So not worth it in my mind and makes PPV...

Not sure if this is being discussed amongst the other topics, but has any other grandfathered HD Absolute users noticed that we have the New HD that was added yesterday, 3/11. I do not have Showtime, so I am not sure about those, but I sure have the new BET channel. From what I gathered...

SWEET! This is very good to know. I don't think there will be much added as far as HD goes that I care about for a while. I'm just happy to keep the channels I currently have at the $40 a month I'm paying. You can't beat that!

Anyone know what will happen to us DishHD Absolute Customers after February 1st? What programing will we move into under the new scheme? What will the charges be? Anyone receive any sort of communication about this? My hope is we will just be left alone, but I doubt that will happen.

I had the same thing happen to me last night. It was pretty windy in Southern California yesterday, so I thought that might be the cause. I was going to see if it did it again tonight and if so give Dish a call. I was hoping to find some reports about it on here today. Where are you located?

L447. Could the 622 be bad? FF and RW just seem more jerky than my 625.
