Problem is, once I make those selections and close the menu, it reverts right back to TV volume. It won't save the settings.

It's a no from me too. I subscribed to Dish in Sept. 2006 and was setup with 61.5/110/119 from the get go. I've got AEP + HD/Platinum. When I upgraded my recievers in April of last year I asked to be moved to Eastern Arc and Dish refused, even though I offered to pay for the switch.

I can't help you with the DNS offce, but I can tell you that here in Port Charlotte (about 1hr 10min South of you via I-75) I only get rain fade during the worst storms. I can count on one hand the number of times I've lost signal since I got Dish in September of 2006.

FWIW, I had a new 612 and 722k installed this week to replace a 211 and 625 and both the 612 and 722k pick up 40 OTA channels (including sub-channels) where the 211 could only get 36. I do have an amp installed in the attic where the antenna feed comes into the house.
