Getting back to my original questions , is it normal for a 39" Digiwave dish to be egg shaped ?

I was using a 30" dish for AMC 9 but lately it was getting very weak sig and unwatchable .. I then put up a 39 x 36 " dish and now i cannot get a signal nohow . Are all 39" dishes oval as this one is 36" wide and 39 " bottom to top ? I even tried changing out the lnb from the 30 " dish on...

Hello I dont really know what is proper but standing behind dish i turned it clockwise to hit it .. I could not hit it the other way .. I tried every skew degree upward from 90 and would not get better .. The channels that have 45 work ok but others are pixelling terribly .. I tried...

I'm thinking that my windguard is a 39 " not 33 ".. It is at moms and i will measure one day ...

The 33 was much better on all tps but cant remember the numbers . Likely in the 70s if memory serves ..

Update The best quality on certain tps was 45 and others were 15 .... Dont know why i could not get better quality reading .. I tweeked everything many times and it refused to get better Q ... I did not go by any dish pointer info for SC dish , only what i used on my 33" windguard when it was...

I have a Star CH 60 E dish and want to hit G10 R - 18 and want to know which side of the lnb to use .. It is not the pop bottle lnb , it is the smaller dual unit and has 4 ports on bottom ..Thanx.. :)

Thx Tron The only thing is , is AMC-9 is not listed in the sats list for some reason ? I see 7,8,10,4 that i can remember when going through list several times and likely a few others but not 9 ? Thx

Is it normal that it does not show which sat you are locked on with a sonicview ? I do know that a Pansat will not show this . I was locked onto G10 R but it did not show any info on antenna setup screen , just the S / Q reading .. Now i am going to try to aim at AMC9 soon and i think that...

Have another question .. Is the lnb supposed to be tightened closest to the dish or pulled back all way away when tightened ? Also when skewing , does it need to be turned clockwise standing behind dish ? I dont see any markings to know where a zero reading should be but the numbers are there...
