it's entirely dependent upon which cable is connected to which input. In other words, if I originally get a searching message with coax 1 going into sat input 1 and coax 2 going into sat input 2, then swap the coax so that coax1 is going into sat input 2 and coax2 is going into sat input 1...

It has the BBC's and there are no diplexers. I'll try swapping the BBCs too. I'm thinking it's either the wire/connector itself OR the LNB that it's connected to is going bad/not switching properly. I just wanted to try and be sure before I climb up to the roof where the dish is mounted.

I just called a CSR. I can get 2 of the 4 distants. The other two have a grade B signal and will have to have a waiver for those Distant HD feeds. So I have to wait a few days :( edit: I'm in bloomington, IN, btw.

I agree with the bad grounding. Could be a possible bad ground or another device creating a feedback loop, etc... that's plugged into the same circuit. Move the receiver onto another circuit and see what happens.

never had a problem w/ the DTC100 except on HD feeds, the audio will occasionally repeat itself for a few milliseconds. This is, of course, with the optical output. I've never used the analog.

I live in an area where I can't use an antenna. I can't get it up high enough AND i'm on the very fringes of the broadcast area yet still fall inside the Indianapolis market. so it's satellite, cable, or nothing.
