    S106 XACD UP

My receiver just rebooted with it. Things I've noticed so far: New boot artwork. My Recordings has been shrunk to not get clipped as bad in SD, probably for the SlingPlayer Mobile system. Shortcut keys are available for more things.

Sling Player for Android... 922 support?

Looks like they didn't use a VideoView object for the video otherwise the HDMI would just work. I checked and they didn't deliberately disable HDMI on the EVO (com.sprint.android.permission.DISABLE_HDMI). Looking at VideoView it looks like it assumes that you can give it a URI that's just a...

Sling Player for Android... 922 support?

Would be silly for them to offer it to iPhone users and not Android users. As long as you haven't taken advantage of the credit for the iPhone I don't really see why they'd refuse you on Android. Guess time will tell.

    MrSling on gdgt.com

MrSling is answering questions on gdgt.com on June 22 & 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. Might be a good time for us to pester them about the situation with the 922 support on Windows/OSX. I already posted a question there about this. But figured you guys might want to know. Hi, This is...

Sling Player for Android... 922 support?

This is what I did. I went to slingbox.com. Up in the top right corner is a Log in link, click it. Make an account (if you don't already have one, I had one from posting on their forums wondering when the 922 would be supported by the Windows/OS X software). Once you've made an account...

Sling Player for Android... 922 support?

Working fine for me here on an EVO 4g as well. Pretty sad how this is better than the SlingPlayer on the Mac.

    922 Sling Issues?

We had some issues with our recording of 24 this week as well. But that's KCPQ for you. For whatever reason the KCPQ in HD is just horrible. Audio drops out etc... But people with multiple different receivers have reported these issues.

    Channel Logos

Pretty much everyone with the 922 has had some degree of overscan issues with the guide. You just have to adjust your tv's screen settings or find a setting that turns off the overscanning (some have this some don't). My particular Sony does not have this feature. Took some playing around...

    922 Remote viewing bandwidth requirement

If you're streaming outside of your local network and aren't using an old version of the SlingPlayer software you're using the man in the middle system that Sling has. The receiver uploads to the stream to Sling, sling sends it to you. When you're streaming in this fashion it's limited to SD...

    Wireless Adapters??

Linux actually had some of the best wireless support until the wireless industry moved to software radios. When they went to software radios, Linux ran into conflicts between the FCC rules about locking up the radio and the open principles that the software authors stood for. That said, I...

    Hard Drive nearly filled.

It has the feature but it's not working. I set up Law & Order and set it to only keep 20 and I've got about 40 on there at this point. I finally just set it to new only to stop it from filling my drive since I had plenty to watch.

    Thinking of Switching to Dish

The 922 has DLNA support but the video support isn't in yet. Right now you can view pictures and listen to music. Video is supposedly coming. So in the future I'd imagine the answer would be yes, as long as they are in a format that the 922 will play and the computer is running a DLNA media...

    does ??

I don't think the 922 has the feature to allow you to access pictures from a USB device like the 722 does. The 922 has DLNA support, so it can display images, they just have to be hosted on a separate machine on the network. They probably could do the USB support, I just don't see it as...

    Here comes replacement #4

I've seen this red slash issue from time to time in all the software versions. Can usually be fixed without a reboot by starting a different recorded program and then you can go back to whatever it is you were doing. Seems like some sort of software bug.

    does ??

Probably supports any USB mass storage device. So if you have a USB device that will let you plug SDHC cards into it and uses the mass storage USB standard it should work. I can't really imagine why you'd want a SDHC card hooked up to it. They're limited to 32GB which isn't a particularly...
