How does Galaxy 19 make money?

I am sure the satellite itself is making money. The satellite owners don't care if anyone is watching - as long as they get their money. What I find amazing is that this many loonie religious groups have enough money for this. What a colossal waste of money, time, and bandwidth!

    Best satellite for Olympics (Ku)?

Your Ku setup is the same as mine - it will be interesting to see what you can get. I have no C-band here until I can locate an unloved BUD in a farmers field free for the taking!

    Best satellite for Olympics (Ku)?

Thanks, but I forgot to mention, I'm in Utah. So 20w / 22w are not good for me. Out of curiosity, however, how far west do you figure that 20/22w would be usable?

    Best satellite for Olympics (Ku)?

Thanks for the input. Seems easy enough to re-aim! Maybe I should wait until the games start and see what shakes out.

    Best satellite for Olympics (Ku)?

I've got my WS 9036 dish currently pointed at Galaxy 19 - no motor drive - with an Openbox S10, X2-M1, and an X2 premium receiver. I want to re-aim the dish to watch the Winter Olympics, and I only want to re-aim the dish once (It's cold outside!!). Any suggestions on what bird to aim for...

    Help about philippine FTA

Good day sir, Kumusta. Your dish will be too small, it appears to be about 18 inches. You will need a larger dish 30 to 36 inches, as well as a new receiver. I don't know what is available in the Philippine on FTA, but I would be interested to know what is available. I have family there...

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

Yea, been there, done that. I prefer a live stream rather than or in addition to On Demand. And they should have it on Roku - I don't need or want another box in my living room, and a media computer is a pain in the ass.

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

I don't understand WHY there is so much content from other countries on FTA, but nothing from the Philippines. Not even news, just one lousy religious channel. If I had money, I would put up a FTA channel of Pinoy news, entertainment and movies, selling advertising time and asking donations...

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

Curse you, TFC! I wouldn't mind paying $10 a month or so for this channel - live. But the only way to get it seems to be available is to pay $25 a month ON TOP of a ridiculously priced "package" that I neither want or need.

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

Thanks for the info! I found it, but... I had to add the transponder. I learned something new today, and I'm still learning!

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

It appears TFC west (CA)on Galaxy 19 is now silent. For a few days it went to audio only, then dead air for the past several days. There appears to be signal, and it's not scrambled. I know, I was warned that this may happen, but still disappointing. I was hoping it was a technical problem...
