got a 211 with external hard drive.should i be able to watch a channel and record on another.it only lets me watch what's recording.do i need a splitter on the back or is that the way it's made

i just purchased a WD 1TB WD Elements Portable USB 3.0 Hard Drive Storage (WDBUZG0010BBK-NESN) from amazon and i want to make sure it will work with my 211.i read where dish will accept 1 tb but it has to be a single platter drive. does anyone know if the one i got will work?

going to get set up with dish as a new account .i was going with 1 hopper ,1 joey and then my own VIP 612. my local retailer said a red flag came up and said i couldn't add the 612. could i add it on my own after a few days after the initial set up

i found the label,stuck under the bottom flap of the box

i'm returning a 211 and 612.they sent 2 boxes but only a return shipp label in the 211 box,nothing in the 612 box

i cancelled dish and got the prepaid boxes to send my equipment back to dish but it doesn't say anything about sending back the remote. am i required to send it back?if not i can give it to my son
