    How to use Record Link on vip722

    The 722 manual is a little vague on how to use an external DVR with the receiver. What functions on the external recorder are controlled, and how is it hooked up to the 722? Thanks for the help.

    I'm rich in dishes- what would you do?

    Hi guys, I am being forced by a bad receiver to go pizza dish for my main tv reception (it will make my wife happy). So I find myself in the great position of having two operating BUDS (a 10' mesh and an 8' solid aluminum). I have a Ku/C feed horn on the mesh and a KU/C/DBS feed horn on the...

    KCSG=RTV!!!

    Yes, I get 5 or 6 BYU feeds and AMG with signal strength of 82 and quality in the high 60s or 70s. the only thing I don't get is the one thing worth getting! I try running the skew up and down every day but no luck so far.

    Setting up my BUD for Dish Network

    Well, now that sounds like a fun challange. My ultimate plan would be to lock down the dish in the right position, so this might work. Thanks

    Probably not much help, but you can get audio only on DVB on AMC 4 12060

    KCSG=RTV!!!

    yeah, its a real bummer. I'm getting a 82 signal but no quality at all. I do get other channels with a SR below 3000, and other stuff on that sat is coming in just great. I'll never give up, though.

    KCSG=RTV!!!

    I was very excited to read this news, I really miss RTN, But it seems I just can't lock on with my pansat 3500SD and 10' mesh dish. Woe is me!

    opinion on srl

    I'm looking around too, losing history International is the last straw for me with NPS. Not having G3 programming is a big issue for me, too. I'll check out Skyvision. After 25 years with my BUD I am starting to wonder about the future- but I would hate to become a pizza slave.

    Setting up my BUD for Dish Network

    Thanks Scott I am starting to come to that conclusion. However, my mother in law lives next door and when the installer set up her Dish Network he told me that he only had to use one satellite. Her dish has one wire and no switches. Am I missing something? I do understand that in order to...

    Setting up my BUD for Dish Network

    Thanks Anole I'm already there- my second bud is a mesh 10' which I use with my pansat 3500SD exclusively for FTA. The solid 8' is used for 4DTV, but I can see that I will eventually be forced into a small dish or something for my main programming. Being an old school dish guy (starting in...

    Setting up my BUD for Dish Network

    I am expermenting with using my BUD (a solid aluminum 8') to receive Dish Network signals. I have borrowed an authorized, legal, Dish receiver (an old 2800 single feed) and I have installed a factory made scalar mount which included a DUAL feed LNBF. I am pointed at 119. My in line signal...

    Using a Dishnet reviever with a FTA system

    thanks, If it won't hurt anything I might fool around with it, but I won't expect much. It was just a thought (I hate to throw away free gear)

    Using a Dishnet reviever with a FTA system

    I just got a hold of a free, authorized, dishnet receiver, and like most of you guys, I would like to make creative use of it. Is there a way to get around the linear/circular problem and add this receiver to my Pansat 3500SD system, using a 10' BUD? Perhaps slaving it to the FTA receiver...
