Ok thanks guys, makes sense. I just think they are confusing and an eye sore, especially when they're all over and not every program has it. Should be an optional guide feature, enable or disable. Just my $.02

Thanks for the input guys, it is the remote for one of my joeys...highly doubtful its dead batteries right outta the box. I will try a reset of the Hopper in a little while, watching some basketball.

Ok so I see the warning that the batteries in my remote are low (yellow), so I change to brand new. But now I get a "Battery Critical Level" (red)? How can brand new batteries be critical?? Anyone heard of this? I could not find much under search.

Wow this worked. thats crazy. Must be some kind of bug? Also I notice even though I tell the hopper in the settings to go to my custom list first when I hit "guide", it seems to pull up "my channels" instead...but I think it only is doing this when I first turn the TV/hopper on...after...

ok this is weird, I cannot get it on my list from the Hopper in the living room but in my bedroom on my Joey its there. Strange!
