I'm not sure. How do I check? I assume the installers did it correctly but you never know I guess.

I've tried that but it didn't help. I also need to clarify that the buzz/hum goes away when I unplug the coax from the wall, not the power cord.

Does anyone have a link to installation instructions using the diplexer? I'm a complete novice when it comes to stuff like this. Also is there a particular diplexer that is recommended?

I just checked the back of the 622 that was installed yesterday and it looks like I was given a remanufactured unit (the serial number sticker says remanufactured on it). I know I didn't request a remanufactured unit and it wasn't mentioned when I ordered the upgrade. Is that common practice?

I'd rather not have to run another cable. Would I use a diplexor at both the dish and receiver end of the coax? I haven't been able to find much info on how to do it.

If I install an outdoor OTA antenna, can I just use the DISH Network coax or do I need to run new cable? If I can use it, is there a special way to connect the antenna?

I get the locals in SD over DISH but I'm pretty sure I'd need an OTA antenna to get HD. Is that what you are referring to when you mentioned not being able to get any locals?
