The Samsung PN51D550 TV is not listed as being 3D compatible on the Direst TV web site. Does anyone have any experience in this regard :(?

Well I'm on my fourth receiver (maybe 5th) in about a year. Has anyone else experienced numerous failures of H20 receivers? I finally had to join the Direct TV "Protecton Plan" to minimize costs! Of course that plan runs about $6.00 a month. Not too impressed with Direct TV right now.

Thanks. I guess your diagnosis is correct. I can change aspect ratio when the local channel is definitely broadcasting in HD as indicated by a "DD" in the information box. However, it seems strange that you can't fill the screen without going to SD.

I have a Vizio P50 Plasma TV and Direct TV H20 Receiver. When I enter the Direct TV Menu OSD options for programming the remote to work with the TV there is no Vizio option listed. Does anyone know of a work-around? George

If I sign up for Direct TV, which receiver should I request. I need an HDMI connection. From the posts it appears that the H20 is their state of the art receiver. I assume that it can be provided with a Direct package?
