My 722k just asks if I want to manage the contents. Then it tells me the feature isnt supported when trying to move recordings. I am using a 40gb external hard drive. It does let me view photos on the drive though.

thanks guys, that worked. I assumed VLC would play the recordings natively. I didnt realize I had to convert them first. Kinda a PITA but still neat.
