AMC4 in Newfoundland The signal kind of dropped in Newfoundland after the switch. However, it looks like the coverage over Canada improved a lot.

I notice that my 10 footer is pretty finicky when aiming it on Ku sat. The price of a couple of db gain! The dish did come with arms that ended in a kind of rinky-dink bracket. I'll try and post a picture of the whole thing. Maybe someone will recognize it and then I can look up the specs.

On giving this further thought......as long as the LNBF is at the focal point, what does the actual distance matter? I cannot see it being a problem. I use a Ku band LNBF on my 10' BUD and it sticks out about 3 feet from the focal point. Just a thought.....

Interesting! I was told by the guy who sold it to me that it was suitable for FTA. I take it that this optimized for a different frequency band?

I have an antenna set up for T5, but a while ago, the Miracle Channel moved to AMC-4. I use an old Star Choice (36" elliptical) dish/LNBF which works adequately. After looking at the specs and finding out that the dish was set up for 4 deg separation, I figured out the Star Choice switching and...

Looks like I had an antenna problem. Moved the feed to an old Star Choice dish I had kicking around. Signals and quality have about doubled and hits have worked. My BUD has definitely gotta to be moved as demolishing the barn is not an option! :)

Thanks TVRPRO and the rest. I think I will look at my antenna as my signal levels seem pretty low compared with what you guys have b4 I bug my provider. My sigs have never come anywhere near 99. Antenna improvement may involve removal of trees and buildings.......

I bought a used 920 from this company a few months ago. I would highly recommend them as they not only sold me a good receiver, but were most helpful afterwards.

They do carry the whole 5 channel TBN mux (TBN, TBN Spanish, Smile of a Child, JCTV, and the Church Channel) All these channels (as well as other Christian channels) are available as FTA on Intelsat 5 at 97 deg West for those who have DVB receivers.
