    A note on Map Master

Is this hardware and software still available? I have several 922's still sealed in their boxes. Kept as spares and never used.

50in by 50in Commerical Ku Band Satellite dish

I have one just like this and here I thought I was the only kid on the block with one! It's pointed at Intelsat 5 (97W) and performs very well. Mine came with a sort of bracket and I put a cheapie LNBF in it. The fittings are glavanized armour plate and I expect this one to survive! Nearly broke...

Miracle Network is now on AMC4

AMC4 in Newfoundland The signal kind of dropped in Newfoundland after the switch. However, it looks like the coverage over Canada improved a lot.

    Premiere Gospel Music Network

I saw it a few weeks ago on AMC-4 but lost the signal due to antenna difficulties......is this the same channel that used to be on analog C-band?

    Antenna help needed!

Well, on Saturday, I managed to get T5 on the offset dish after fiddling with the LNBF bracket. It was not pointed quite correctly, and a little strategic bending fixed it. Anyway, T5 is coming in gangbusters, with both increased signal and quality! We have a nice snowstorm on right now, so I'll...

    Antenna help needed!

I notice that my 10 footer is pretty finicky when aiming it on Ku sat. The price of a couple of db gain! The dish did come with arms that ended in a kind of rinky-dink bracket. I'll try and post a picture of the whole thing. Maybe someone will recognize it and then I can look up the specs.

    Antenna help needed!

On giving this further thought......as long as the LNBF is at the focal point, what does the actual distance matter? I cannot see it being a problem. I use a Ku band LNBF on my 10' BUD and it sticks out about 3 feet from the focal point. Just a thought.....

    Antenna help needed!

Interesting! I was told by the guy who sold it to me that it was suitable for FTA. I take it that this optimized for a different frequency band?

    Antenna help needed!

I have an antenna set up for T5, but a while ago, the Miracle Channel moved to AMC-4. I use an old Star Choice (36" elliptical) dish/LNBF which works adequately. After looking at the specs and finding out that the dish was set up for 4 deg separation, I figured out the Star Choice switching and...

    Trouble with X4

Looks like I had an antenna problem. Moved the feed to an old Star Choice dish I had kicking around. Signals and quality have about doubled and hits have worked. My BUD has definitely gotta to be moved as demolishing the barn is not an option! :)

    Trouble with X4

Thanks TVRPRO and the rest. I think I will look at my antenna as my signal levels seem pretty low compared with what you guys have b4 I bug my provider. My sigs have never come anywhere near 99. Antenna improvement may involve removal of trees and buildings.......

    Trouble with X4

I have a DSR920, 10 ft. BUD and BSC621 LNBF. I have been subscribed to X4 for the last couple of months. As the sub ran out, I renewed it this morning and have been sending it hits for most of the day. The counter has been incrementing at each hit. Sci-Fi, X4-642 authorization has been on and...

Need best place to have my GE 920 4DTV repaired.

I bought a used 920 from this company a few months ago. I would highly recommend them as they not only sold me a good receiver, but were most helpful afterwards.

JCTV is running on trinity right now!

They do carry the whole 5 channel TBN mux (TBN, TBN Spanish, Smile of a Child, JCTV, and the Church Channel) All these channels (as well as other Christian channels) are available as FTA on Intelsat 5 at 97 deg West for those who have DVB receivers.

    H-H Mount And Actuator Arm?

[ yes theres other stuff on satellites thats digital FTA that a 4dtv receiver can't see. I use a splitter with a DC block to feed my DVB FTa receiver from each LNB on the BUD and then use the DSR920 as an antenna controller. I thought about another BUD but the gardener won't let me get one......

    BSC621 on DSR920

:) Thanks for this! Hooked it up last night and it works well on H & V, analog and digital, C & Ku. Fitted right in my Chaparral feedhorn which saved me a re-alignment. I did have to juggle a little bit with the 3 connectors. Dummy here thought the Ku was C and vice versa........duh! It broke...

    BSC621 on DSR920

Just bought a BSC621 for my DSR920 and 10 ft Paraclipse BUD. I'm wondering what LNB's to select in the setup on the receiver? Also, does the BSC621 work with analog C-band? (I still watch some analog channels......) How is H/V switching accomplished on C-band with this LNB and the does the...

    G1 outta sight!

Not really an option if you work out the geometry! The tower would be very high. I've fooled around with 20 meter beams for ham radio work for years and would not like to try hoising a 10 foot dish. I'm wondering if there are other options for these updates.....

anyone ever experiment with antennas before?

400 mhz ducting There is a precision positioning (navigation) system around called Syledis made by the French. It runs in the 400 mhz band. We used it for seismic ops prior to GPS. There are tables with the system that show antenna heights to catch a ducting effect that, apparently has been...

    G1 outta sight!

After the loss of SciFi channel from G5, I finally converted to 4dtv with a DSR920. Unfortunately just at this time, the updates channel moved to G1.....about 5 deg below my horizon. (I reside at the easternmost point in North America) Short of moving west.....is there any other way that I can...
