Atlant Spotbeam Atlanta SD locals (like CW, PBS ect) were on a spotbeam. You are right about the Atlanta HD locals... they were CONUS. What stinks for me is that they appear to be on a spotbeam now.

As I think about that... That is a pretty stupid question... one would think that if you are pointed at the right satellite then I would definitely be zeroed in on all of the transponders on that satellite.

Thanks for the responses... I have a Dish 1000 (I got it about two years ago... right when the VIP 722 came out) and I know that I am pointed at the 129, not the 61.... What other satellites should I be looking for and what transponders should I align to?

I cannot get my second VIP 722 remote to work. I have consulted the manual, but cannot make heads or tails of that explanation. Could one of you tell me how to get my second VIP 722 remote to work again. Thanks in advance. Joe

I remember seeing a google maps application on here a year or so ago that assists in aligning your Dish. ...basically, you put in your address and a google map picture comes up which shows the general direction to point the Dish. Thanks in advance, Joe

Good idea... I have a Dish 1000... running a VIP 722. I will only need HD on one tv... SD ok (mirrored) on all other tvs. Also, I just met with a Dish install guy... here is an interesting senerio that I would very much appreciate you all weighing in on: The cable box out in the yard...

I just bought a new house... the cable tv line from the road is run underground to the middle of the yard where there is a junction box. The cable then continues underground the the wiring hub underneath the stairwell. Question... when I set up my dish... can I just tie into that junction...
