Help with my 722 remotes!!!

I cannot get my second VIP 722 remote to work. I have consulted the manual, but cannot make heads or tails of that explanation.

Could one of you tell me how to get my second VIP 722 remote to work again.

#1remote go to menu 6-1-3 take #2 remote and hit record, you should see the remote addy change,cancel out of menu and give it a try
