    Future of XM channels

I am a Ham Radio guy and this week I had an interesting conversation with a former XM Employee on the Han Radio airwaves. He will remain nameless to protect his identity even though the information he gave me was of his own opinion and not any true intel to what is happening at Sirius XM...

    Question for long-time DirecTV customers

I call when I see my bill go up. Actually, as I speak I am on the phone with D* talking to CSR. I had full intentions of switching to UVerse now that its available in my area because I am so sick of the "laggyness" and performance of the DVR's. I love the service itself but the hardware has...

    When was Sirius/XM Better?!

Wow... its been a long time since I have been on these threads. Now that HD is prevelent and there is a plethora of HD on Directv, I just don't hang around these forums much. I thought I would check into see if there was any inside scoop on Sirus/XM or Directv that would be worth knowing, then...

    Sirius XM online expands?

I have been a XM subscriber for 5 years now. I have loved the programming and this is what basically keeps me there. My wife and I enjoy the 40's, 50's, Real Jazz, Classical, and Old Time Radio channels. (I know... we're old fashioned). :) We simply do not get any of these types of channels...

    Good deal NFL-ST

Yes. I acted dumbfounded to find out I had to pay $100 more to see the NFL ST games in HD when I subscribe to the HD service, and directv does nothing but open an imaginary "gate" to let me see them. I told them if I can't have the games in HD for free, forget it, I would just not get the ST...

    Good deal NFL-ST

I called today to cancel my ST. (Before reading on here actually) I explained my team (Steelers) is out of my market, but will have a ton of nationally televised games, so I cannot justify the cost. She gave me the $20 off for 6 month deal right away, and I jumped on it. I am still getting...

Sirius Xm to raise rates another $2

I just got my email notice about the Royalty fees. It will total just undre $4 a month for me. (3 radios). I am upset enough already that I was promised no prices will change when the merget happned. Well... they raised the prices on a few things that effected me enought that I am now paying...

    deals for existing customers?

For the last couple of years I have been getting D* to give me the new customer offers when I have asked. Particularly the Sunday Ticket deals. I just tell them that "AT&T U-Verse just became available in my area and they are knocking on my door every night because they see my D* dish in the...

    SiriusXM stock, The comeback kid?

But I did't! :) I bought it at $0.29 a share yesterday! :up I figure I will sell when it hits $3.00 a share in a couple years. (I hope it hits that anyway). :)

Sirius XM is pissing me off AGAIN

I tried to "activate" my internet radio account today after realizing the reason it has not been working this week is due to the new "fees". (I forgot that they were doing this so it took me a couple days to put 2 + 2 together). So I went on line to active at $2.99, but it tells me that my...

    Sirius raising prices!

I saw this coming a mile away like so many others. During the heated debates on the merger, I was all against it because the two companies were marketing Satellite radio completely wrong. The biggest thing about satellite radio is not that people want to see that Kid Rock, Jessica Simpson, or...

    Purchasing HDTV-Need Advice

Hey no problem! I believed those who said otherwise when I started looking at TV's this summer. Then my eye doctor recommended glasses for me for the first time in my life for distances. It has changed my world! Then I could easily see the difference of 1080 and 720 on a 32" TV. The...

    Purchasing HDTV-Need Advice

If I am not mistaken, they do have stuff available in the 1080p format, but I have yet to see one because it is only available in the on demand. I can say for sure that D* has 1080i programming at 60Hz. My new Samsung TV displays the Hz as well as the resolution it displaying! :)
