I have encountered the same problem on my lifetiime ultra; verticals all gone as far as reception. Haven't checked the voltages but did swapout the lnb with no improvement.

I have an odd problem with my receiver, the vertically polarized channels all seem to be coming in bad, breaking up, pixelated while the horizonal channels are rock solid. Doesn't matter which transpoder or satellite, same thing. Any one have any suggestions? Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra...

My sentiments too. As a Ham operator, the pressure is always on to use the bands...but whomever 'they' are never seem to be around to do those things you so accurately point out need to been done on your own nickel. Perhaps we could start a non-profit soliciting hams and others to the "Cause"!!

I'm using a Fortec Star Ultra receiver and would like to know how to scan up to 4 satellites at one time. The 'manual' states this but does not reference it in the how-to section. :(

Any chance of using a setup like this mounted on a motor?:confused:

What does the "sat-out" plug on the rear of the receiver do? The manual is pretty light on this. If I hook up another receiver to this system, will there be any conflict using the dish if the second rcvr chooses a bird different from the first receiver? I have a Fortec Ultra Lifetime...

Thanks! The Longitude was off, set to E! DUH! That got it to move. Now I just need to fine adjust it so I can get the quality up from 0. :)

I have setup the Dish, Fortec Star 30", Fortec Universal Single LNB, Lifetime Ultra Rcvr, SG-2100, HH. However, when I select USALS in the Satelite positioner setup for my true south bird (SBS 6) and attempt to move the dish, I get "out of range". Attempts to bring in TS5 get the same results...
