Good morning, I am looking to buy a new, unactivated HD receiver in the buffalo area. I currently have a H24-700 so I would need another one or equivalent ( btw what does the "-700" or the "-100" mean?). Where can I go to get one that is unactivated. I live close to Buffalo.

Yes and that is what I plan to do but with respect to activation, do you know whether they can activate all 6 at once or whether i have to give the individual receiver s/n for them to turn each one on in other words is it the account that is activated or the receivers?

thanks for the response. i have called direct tv and given them the receiver id's and they did confirm that they were legitimate and i thought that they said that they could be activated on my new account once i have signed up. is it possible that they mislead me? i do own the three receivers...
