Yes they did that 2 months ago when I first called to cancel, I took the offer and nothing changed except now the picture and sound breaks up all the time. I got called for a phone survey recently and gave them tumbs down, the guy told me everyone was giving the same response.

Do you have a multiswitch anywhere in your old set up? If so it could be your problem. I did a friends install he had a multiswitch in old set up , it was inside a wall so we ran new direct cable run. Bingo we had signal.

On some triple LNb's the multiswitch is removeable. The terl lnb I have has a removeable mulitswitch.

You may want to check with DTV to be sure they will activate a used Box. I have heard they sometimes won't do this.
