Newegg is selling Directv DVR's now?!?!?! Lol, what don't they sell now?

You know what the saddest thing is about that article? The fact that only 15% of Directv customers even use a DVR at all.:( Hell, I'd rather have the buggiest, slowest, worst DVR than the best plain jane satellite reciever. I'm AMAZED that number is not much higher! 15%? Come on!

I just wanted everyone to know I never ended up getting the rebate. I called and got the credit instead after waiting over 2 months.

Buggy DVR's are the big reason I left Dish Notwork in the first place. If the R15 is still buggy when Directv comes out with the R20, I'm going to be pissed. I really hope they fix these reliability issues. There's nothing more annoying to me than a DVR that misses shows and crashes.

Man, Voom must have been good if people are still talking about it 6 months after it's demise. As for me, I wouldn't have touched Voom with a ten foot pole, not because they didn't have the best HD service, which they obviously did, but because they didn't have a dvr. I very rarely watch...

I tried clearing and deleting everything and now it's stuck on that screen. It was even locking up in the menus as I tried to write down all of my SP's. The drive is definitely dead. I'm on the phone with Directv now.

Today my HD-Tivo started acting up. It froze and wouldn't respond to any commands from the remote or the front of the unit itself. I rebooted and all seemed fine however there was no longer any guide data. A couple of hours later the data was back and the unit seemed to be working perfect...

Will this launch be broadcast on a Directv channel? The last one was pretty cool to watch.

Yea Earl, especially since it sounds like Tivocommunity doesn't want any talk of improvements, bugs, and suggestions about the R15. I can't say I blame them, as the R15's not a Tivo. I was kind of surprised you put your review up over there anyway. I thought it would be here at Satguys...

Why replace an R-10 with the R-15 right now? The differences I see between both are very minor, like free space indicator, 90 minute buffer, etc. If you throw $100 at an R-15 you're also locked into Directv for another 2 years as well. I have the same setup as you and will be holding onto...

I don't know if it's just the low quality of the video or what but the part where the wheels hit each other looks computer generated to me. They looked like they picked up speed going UP the ramp. A GREAT commercial though!

Lost is a good show. Gotta go watch it now as it's still sitting on the Directivo!
